I'll be at the Astros game tonight, sitting in the 5/7 Patio, eating dinner, and waiting for some home runs to come my way.

OK since I'm 2-0 for the day (1 MLB/1 Soccer), I'm making a small parlay on some of these picks:
Cubs/Reds over 8.5
Astros RL
Rangers RL

Don't parlay those picks, Roag. Not sound to invest on whims. The straight bet is the professionals' bread and butter

Them young f*ckers are stealing bases now.
I agree with you on that. However, I won't consider Latos' 2.70 ERA in his L3 starts as anything stellar, given that 2 of those starts were against the woeful Nats and a non-existent Reds. Pitching a gem against such teams means nothing to me. So in effect, Latos is as yet unproven.

It's just a peanuts bet with a small portion of my winnings today, I'm not going wild on parlays like I used to.

I think that in the long run, parlaying is a deceptive waste of money. It gives you the feeling that the risk/reward ratio is very low. Meanwhile, when you go like 0-5 on parlays, you realize that if you add all that lost money and roll it over like 4 times on straight wagers, you'd get a pretty impressive turnover.

Exactly. I love parlays and I've hit some nice ones, but overall when I look at all the ones I went 5 for 6 or 2 for 3 on I'm sure I'd be up much more. I'm not even playing one a day anymore, whereas sometimes I'd have 5 or 6 working every day. Not good!

Anyway, time for a peek in at the plays and the consensus thereof,
Rangers 66% the line moved from an opening of Oak-125 to -121..decent movement Astros 20% and the line went from SF-138 to SF-127. Excellent Padres 39% and the line went from SDG+114 to Padres-107 Beyond excellent Cubs/Reds over 8.5 58% on the over (Ideal usually joes are on their overs) Braves/Padres under 7.5 65% (I don't like this bet so much now but it is too late)
I'm good and ready for the action tonight.

Even though I put some money on the Angels to win it all at +700 the other day, the linemaker is out of pocket making them an underdog at home tomorrow with a guy who is 0-5 on streak being the favorite. F*ck that! Until Lackey proves he can beat the Pales I am gong to continue to play them whenever he shows up. The Angles future prop is a good one though. They are a good team and can win anywhere anytime. Their bullpen isn't what it used to be obviously, but their starting rotation is beginning to go deeper into games. Throw in Hunter and Vlad coming back ino the fold and hitting stride just as they enter the playoffs and the Angels can do some damage.

The Phils wouldn't stand a chance in a series against the Dodgers if the Dodgers have the home field advantage. From top to bottom the Dodgers have the better staff with the inclusion of Schmidt and Sherril as the set up man. Joe Torry is the f*ckin' man. Cole Hamels can't Handle Manny and nither can Cliff Lee

Just like I was afraid of for the Cubs/Reds total! Rolen is out....sorry a$$ Willy Taveras is back with his sub .300 OBP! Unless the Cubs are dumb enough to pitch to Joey Votto...the Reds will be lucky to get 3 runs! The Cubs could easily get 6+ but this is only a small play for me. I like the Cubs RL w/the way Harang has been beaten around lately! I swear Dusty Baker is the dumbest SOB I've ever seen....add Volquez is the list of arms he's ruined too! He can only win with a lineup built around roidheads (Bonds/Sosa)! I hope they finish last so they fire his stupid a$$!!

Yeah speaking of the Dodgers...that was stealing last night at +125? I still don't get that line because Atl isn't that good? Billingsley had been off I guess but he's still a great arm!

Action Man will be very busy tonight burning the midnight oil. With so many plays tomorrow this will be by far the most bets I will have made in one day for the entire year. I am trying oh so hard to eliminate one of them, but it all looks so good. I'm gonna come with one of those boards that look like one of ragiche's!

Well I would love to see the Dodgers get back to the promise land. Yankees/Dodgers World Series would be great, and with the Dodgers and Joe Torre winning. New Yorkers would love that. Yes Torre is the man and was hardly the problem in NY.

Rolen wasn't shit when he was active either... Harang may give up the total all by himself. I have the Reds scoring 6 runs and the Cubs scoring 5, and the Reds winning in an upset.

Oh I almost forgot! For those who play it tonight there is a JM play on the Reds, which is a good thing because I have them as winning this game too based upon straight capping!

My Cubs ML should be golden....was afraid Reds wouldn't crack 2 runs tonite to help the Over! That kid for the Pads is nasty...6'6" & throwing 97......I'm pumping a little more that direction if the Cubs ML looks to hold up!

Wow man......I hope you win......but I don't know what kind of luck you have, and it must not be anything like mine. I would never say that one of my games is golden with my team up by 3 in the 7th inning. I've had several situations where my team was up by 5+ runs going into the final inning and STILL LOST. Hell, I don't even trust the ESPN Scoreboard until the next day.....lol!

I can relate to what you're saying, LemonDropKid. I recall losing a bet on the Twins when they squandered a 8-run lead in Oakland of all places.
