Curious Lotto parlay thread...

Ain't that always the truth. You throw down a for-fun 8-team parlay and 7 picks hit. Next day you play 7 picks SU and go 2-5. It's like playing golf when you're drunk. No pressure, just swing away. Or maybe it's more like picking up chicks when you're drunk. Either way, it somehow involves alcohol.

Of course I playd it. I got the Mets UNDER at 7.5. I always buy 1/2 a run on totals if the total is a whole number. I would rather lose than push.

I always play the picks in the parlay straight up also. That way you still make a little money if you go better than 55-45.

Don't worry, I hit these about once every two weeks or so.

The trick to longevity is to play all the picks straight up and play them in smaller parlays because most of the time some number less than 8 win.

Like today I had two 4 pick parlays, 4 2 pick parlays, the 8 teams straight up and the one 8 pick parlay. I usually use the correlated plays together, like Brewers and Brewers OVER or Cubs and Cubs OVER.

I don't want to have to keep up with tallying all that stuff so I am just going to list the 8 pick plays and leave it up to readers to break the picks out into smaller plays on their own.

Marlins lose and game goes over.
Rangers win but game stays under

I didn't play any of these night games very big. It was strange, when I looked at the day games I could just see the winners. The night games I looked at them and looked at them and I couldn't see an obvious edge. I liked the Giants but I didn't like the starting pitcher. And I liked the Cardinals but couldn't see the Dodgers losing 5 in a row and I hate betting on the Dodgers. The Rockies were actualy a pick for game 2 of the double header but I hate beting on the second game of double headers. The White Sox were also a play but I just couldn't get over betting against the Yankees.

So, I just messed around with the parlay for a few $. Which I'm glad because my night picks all stank up the place.

Well, CK, since I blew $175 split into 5 parlays on Curious's crazy notion to take all the dogs on yesterday's games, I will switch allegiance and follow you into parlay hell on this one. But I couldn't get the Yanks over 10 (it was 10.5; no thanks), so I left it off the card, which means I can only make freakin' 4 dimes: $51.70 to win $4002.

And since the Yankees have destroyed every childhood dream I have ever had, I had to put one more parlay down without betting on them to LOSE to the White Sox. In order to make up the difference in the payoff, I took the Twins on the RL instead of the ML. Six-play parlay: $50.30 to win $4005.

I am sure I will lose this parlay because of taking the Twins RL instead of the ML, which will cause a nervous breakdown and lead me straight into the Way Out Rehabilitation Facility.

I didn't tell anyone to take all the dogs. I said I liked all the dogs. For small parlays. My real picks went 8-0. Hence the 8 pick parlay win.

You can't risk so much money on my antics. I guess I should make it clear when I post a "I'm on crack" thread that I really am on crack.
