Lines are open. +166 for the Astros. Dump your Fort Knox sized loot on it.
I'm on the Dodgers. Take out Hampton's 4 starts vs the Pirates this season and he has an ERA over 6. He has allowed 3+ ER in every start except his 4 starts vs the Pirates and one against the Padres. He preys on the weak.
Kershaw seems dialed in lately with an ERA under one for his last six starts. Astros are the top hitting team vs Lefties in the NL but the 3rd (NYM) and 4th (Col) best in the NL (2nd best = Dodgers) combined for 0 runs and 4 hits in 11 innings in two July starts vs Kershaw. So I wouldn't worry too much about the Astro's ability to hit Lefties.
Also, I fooled myself into a chase for a Dodgers win in this series. A 4 game sweep by the Astros in LA would be shocking.

The performance so far defies all rational projections.

So no more WHIPs and spinach DIPs.....its time for gut instinct and Dodgers are surely going down if not for a freak hail-storm in the land of Swap Meets and Bad Traffic.

I also fooled myself into a chase for a Dodgers win in this series. I mixed in some RL on the Dodgers, so I'm not in too deep, but I gotta bet 16 units combined ML/RL on the third game. If I lose that one, I'll have lost 1/4 of my bankroll. Luckily, another chase paid off last night (Cincy, +9 units) and I've done okay with some other stuff too, so I can afford to drop this third game.

But my money stops with Kershaw. He don't win, I ain't bettin' 30+ units on L.A. on Sunday. Some people say all chases are dumb, but a 4-game chase is really dumb.

Bottom line, I think pocketlint has a point. The Dodgers are 9-9 in their last 18 playing against pretty average teams. They just aren't hitting the ball lately. 71 runs scored in their last 18 (3.9 avg.) and 23 of those runs came in two consecutive games. Without those two games, they're averaging just 3.0 runs a game. Not cutting it.

I don't believe in throwing good money after bad. But I'll roll the dice that the Dodgers can snap out of it for one game, or at least have Kershaw toss a 3-hitter or something. Like the Cubs, tread carefully on this team until they get their shit together.

Beating Wandy and Oswalt is not an easy task.

However, Hampton & Ortiz are not decent pitchers. Dodgers should not have any trouble to hit against them. I see an EXCELLENT bounce-back spot for Dodgers here.

Good home teams can get swept at home, that's right getting swept by lowly teams specially in weekend! Not very likely..

The only thing scares me is H2H Advantage for Astros but you know Laws Of Average.. Astros can't win forever

I lost on Dodgers in game #1, but luckily I watched the game and saw they were really flat... So I passed on game #2. This would be a big upset if the tros sweep all four...doubt it happens... G.

This kid is improving his command with every start. He has some of the best stuff in the league. Once he starts to learn to pitch to contact and not trying to strike out everyone, IMO he could be one of the best lefties in the game.

Sheez.... the fuzzy logic still prevails

                                  They-Ought-To-Win-This-Coz-They-Cant-Possibly-Lose !!

what will the world come to if Dodgers lose this? I think most people cant imagine in full Eastman Color what the situation would look like if a heavily favorited team actually loses. Thats why they just cant let themselves imagine betting any other way!!

Its like Lance Armstrong at the Tour de France say "What's this world coming to?" when he hears that Tiger crashed out of the British Open.

Dodgers have been overacheiving the entire year. How many headaches can one team give me with their late inning comebacks. I like the Astros today.
