I would guess it would go down my morning. However I am not convinced it will win.

Hunter won't get much run support. Rangers may be blowing their wad with all these runs tonight.

Rangers starting lineup vs Hernandez at home

...this year is .357, that is only 1 game though,

including the game at texas the avg is .264

total of 6 runs in the 2 games.

First of all, the Rangers are better than the Mariners. Mariners have a better bullpen and starter ont he mound, but it's not like the Rangers cannot close games. King Felix has also had problems facing the Rangers in the past, that is a tough offense to face. Rangers also have a top defense. At +170, it's definitely worth a shot. The Royals are about that line at the Red Sox tomorrow and those teams are so far apart in skill.

Line is what it is because Hernandez is one of the best pitchers in baseball and he has eight straight Quality Starts. Not saying that means Texas can't win, I am just giving the reasoning for the line.

I see that Hernandez is good. But Hunter isn't exactly a can of catfood.

Maybe I'm just not reading this right, but I think this line is way inflated.

As LT said, the line is so because Fernandez is easily a top 5 pitcher in baseball right now. If Rangers take this they squeeze it out.

at +170 the odds makers are saying that Seattle has a 63% to win this game. That doesn't seem too far fetched at home, after losing the previous series to the lowly O's.

look at hernandez pitching performances lately.. last 6 games he's givin up this amt of runs: 1,1,0,2,0,3.. included in that is shutting out the dodgers in la.. the guy is money... big divisional game for seattle.. opposing this game on the west coast for the late starts is the sd vs sf w/ lincecum favored 310 currently.. 2 huge favs late.. will both win or which dog will hit

Yep 2 huge favs. I don't see SD beating Linecum. I see Texas going up to Seattle and give King Felix an ass thumping.

in my formula king felix has a rating of 104.8 and hunter 28.32. there is a significant difference between a legit #1 starter and someone who has thrown 17 innings this year. just for comparison lincecum is 152.7 today in my model and is the #1 pitcher on the board. this being said, there is credence to what you are saying curious, look what happened yesterday detroit and french beating kc and grienke. the thing about backing an ace is this. say you happen to be lucky and you get 40 starts out of your #1. 20 wins gets you a cy young. a bigger indicator to me is what is the winning percentage of the team when the #1 starts broken down home and away. then you are cooking with crisco.

1) SEA has lost ALL of Felix's home starts against Texas.
2) Texas are 7-1 in their L8 as underdogs.
3) Hunter isn't a gas can
4) Texas has the better offense by a mile.

He also has an era of .885 against righties.

You have to be nuts to think there is value in this one against Felix at home, one of the best in the majors.

anytime anyone sees a line that looks so good and then you think it will move 40 cents your way, it usually will go the other way, like this one tonight..

you actually think the oddsmakers fukked up by 40 cents? no one can predict which way a line will go by just looking at it.. the naked eye can never pick this up.. even if it looks like a big mistake..
