I think we have had this conversation, he is probably still Detroit's best pitcher but he is not as good as many thought when he first came up.

I think that was Norris and I sure hope it is past tense by now.

Norris lived in the van and Fulmer is a horse, man. His ERA will be right around 3 by the end of the year, I'd say.

Well, Fulmer's xFIP is 3.95 right now so ERA in upper 3s seems feasible. My problem with him is his low strikeout rate, especially since his groundball rate is down this year.

You are doing really good this year. I'm always looking for good cappers to follow at the beginning of a new season. Hope you keep posting for years to come.

That's the one thing I'm a little confused about. He has the stuff to strikeout more batters. I'm counting on that changing.
Good luck, LT. Keep up the good work.

You would think, but his current K rate is basically in line with his career K rate.
I like everything here except for Texas.....and that's only because Matt Moore has been a gas can over his last 40 starts or so. I keep thinking he's pitched his last MLB game, but he keeps getting called. Just hard to back a pitcher who I know is likely giving up 3+ runs.
Goodluck!!

Do you ask that every time I don't bet on Samardzija?
I actually have this game 50% (+100) both ways despite SF starting pitching edge.

I still like him a lot. But I like Philly offense a lot too. And Shark does not seem to be undervalued any more either.

TEXAS favored 53% (-113). Fulmer rates about 10% better than Moore but that get offset by big edge in Texas offensive splits. Keep in mind though that besides no Miggy, my Default Lineup also currently has no Castellanos.

I think there is value with Houston. Houston has played 2 very tough teams while Oakland lost 2 of 3 to Seattle and then played lowly Baltimore. The line is a little low than what would normally be on the Astros.

I am showing Keuchel with basically a straight-line decline the last 4 years, and while his current xFIP of 3.75 isn't horrific, it is still one of the worst of his career. I have a feeling I will be on Oakland quite a bit this year (already have been actually) because of their underrated offense.
I'm on board 5 out of 5 here too, sir, let's get it

The HS team I use to coach faced both Anderson and Keuchel couple times a year, don't think we ever lost to them but it was always 1-0 2-1 type games.
LT keep it up, I never post but I always tail ur bases!

Besides Davis (.056) and Piscotty (.167) most hit quite well against Keuchel.

You probably know by now I do not put much stock in head-to-head numbers. Either sample size is too small or, if there is larger sample size, it goes back too many years.

OK Castellanos is playing, but that still only drops Texas to 52% (-108).
