Why We Like The Braves on Thursday at +105...
Why we like the Braves on Thursday at +105...We like the Braves at home to start their season on the winning foot with their ace on the bump in Julio Teheran.Teheran comes into this opener after posting a 1.40 era through 25 spring training innings while posting a 4-0 record. Normally, we wouldn't put as much value in spring training innings but Teheran has proven consistency over his last few starts heading into this game. Going back to 2017, Teheran opened his season allowing 0 runs through 13 innings over his first two starts. Offensively, this current Phillies lineup has a combined 141 ABs off of Teheran while posting a combined .220 average with 2 HRs. On the Phillies side, Aaron Nola will be facing this Braves lineup. Nola comes into this game after posting a respectable 3.50 era through 18 Spring Training innings. This Braves lineup has a combined 79 ABs off of Nola with a .253 average and 3 HRs. With both teams coming off of below .500 Spring Training records, look for this Braves team to come out and fight for a W in front of their home crowd.

Play on the Braves at +105

My only concern here is Teheran was so freaking bad at that new launching pad last season! Did he ever iron things out at the new park by end of year? Other than that don't mind the play and enjoyed the write up! But ditch the colors bro, hard on the eyes!! Welcome aboard and gl.

thanks for the reply bank...he was bad at home last year but it did trend upwards near the end of the season.

in this case, Nola was equally bad on the road last season. He posted a 3.54 overall last year through 168 innings and allowed 18 HRs...on the road his ERA rose to 4.24 where he allowed 7 HRs in less than half of the innings pitched (74).

playing on the home team and the better batting average against here.

Yea thought I seemed to remember he did improve a little by end of season just wasn't sure., I was kinda behind capping this one cause I saw potential weather issues which I usually avoid like the plague if I can, but someone I talk w in area told me he thought rain was gonna hold off till later so now interested. Divisional home dogs generally a really solid bet early on and while I think Phils headed right direction never bad going against trendy up and comers till they prove it! Might join you with small play.

Wind blowing in fairly strong which should help Teheran as well. Up to +112 I'm gonna join you as think there decent value in that number.
