#179Well, it still looks like this is the least visited thread on a daily basis but probably one of the most sucessfull threads. That said i was 4-0 today, 3-0 on plays for the record since as i stated this morning the Colorado game was posted but eliminated because the juice was above -170. SO, 3-0 TODAY ADDING 6.5 UNITS TO THE ACCOUNTS. ALSO 5 WINS IN A ROW LAST TWO DAYS. One of these days some will take notice and come on board for some winning wagers. I dedicate alot of time to sports wagering capping and as i said yesterday, if you tail on a daily basis all of the plays you will not be disappointed by years end. Good Luck!

#190INFORMATIONAL #2
Money Management:
"Regaw Rules is a set of rules that have been created to remind the sports bettor of certain rules that they should always keep in mind. These rules apply to everyone regardless of the experience they have in the realm of betting on sports. Some of the rules are simple and some are complex but they all have the same end result—making money betting sports. I am going to cover one of the most important facets of sports betting that is often over looked and is the biggest reason people lose, money management.
Novice sports bettors often fail to realize how important it is to manage your money when they first begin wagering on sports. Since the goal is to win as much money as possible the focus is often on winning and not losing. Winning is fun and is the ultimate goal, but knowing and respecting the losing portion of sports gambling is more important than winning will ever be. If you prepare to win before the wagering begins there is a better chance that the bettor will succeed. The plan has to include great detail on what the goal is and the amount that could be lost. Making this plan is vital to a winning formula.
Money management is exactly what it sounds like. It’s the act of managing your money to work best for you in sports gambling. The first step is to set two goals, how much you want to win and how much you could afford to lose. When a goal is not set for either of these people tend to get in trouble. If figuring out how much money can be lost is not thought about in advance people lose too much and get in over their head. If a winning goal is not set then people will keep shooting for a bigger stake or a higher goal that they will never achieve and in the end they do not take any money out and lose everything going for more. The key to setting these goals it to be reasonable with the amount the goals are set for. If the starting bank roll is $100 a winning goal of $1000 is not reasonable. That kind of return on investment is not mathematically sound and the odds are against winning that amount. In sports betting the goal is to get the odds on your side not against you.
Money management is long term goal setting as well as the short term. The short term money management is the percentage of your bankroll that is at risk at any given time. This is debatable depending on the theory that you subscribe to but for most experts the maximum is 5% of your bank roll on any play. I also believe that a "unit" should equal 1% of your bankroll not to exceed 5% of your bankroll. If the bettor starts with a bank roll of $100 and they bet $50 on one game then they are not managing money properly. The reason each wager has to be set at a percentage is to survive the losing cycles. In sports wagering, depending on the sport, 53% winners can make a profit. Hitting 53% or higher will mean that you will have your share of losses. If the wager amount percentage is too high it will take fewer wagers to go bust. Goal setting in the long term and the short term will lead to a successful future in sports wagering.
Money management is often overlooked but it is important to realize it is the keystone to a successful strategy in sports wagering. If this step is passed by then it could literally cost the sports bettor in more ways than one. This part of sports gambling may be tedious and even time consuming but it sets the foundation that will set the tone of the profit and losses in sports betting. Once a successful management strategy is achieved the rest is just about picking winners. A sound money management philosophy allows the sports bettor to focus on the handicapping aspect of the game and picking winners and in turn making money!"Comment -

Also, do you set a limit on how many % of your bankroll should be at risk each day regardless of the number of plays?Comment -

NO, i dont set a limit as far as number of plays. I know i wll hit at least 60 percent of my plays so as long as i keep the formula 1 unit = 1% of my roll there isnt any way my roll would go dry. Your bankroll goes dry once you try to make a fortune on just a couple plays. We will all have bad streaks and when we do if we use sound money management the odds of going broke are almost nill.
As Kelly states — "maximizing the long term growth rate of your fortune — the answer Kelly gives is to stake the fraction of your gambling or investment bankroll which exactly equals your advantage."
"The Kelly criterion is maximally aggressive — it seeks to increase capital at the maximum rate possible. Professional gamblers typically take a less aggressive approach, and generally won't bet more than about 2.5% of their bankroll on any wager."Comment -

#197The prime reason that 99% of sports bettors lose is improper money management. While even if you access to winning picks (i.e. My plays, lol) without a proper money management system in place the picks are worthless.
The first step to successful money management is to establish your gambling bankroll. Your gambling bankroll consists of the amount of money you have set aside to risk betting on sports. Your bankroll does not include money used to pay the mortgage, utilities, or car payment. In fact I recommend that you have a separate bank account to make sure that slipup's don’t happen.
The final piece in the pie, and most important, for a sound money management plan is to weild a little self control. That seems so easy but in fact is the hardest aspect of being a successful sports bettor. To be successful you can’t step up your bets if you lose the first game on Saturday morning or if you have a rough Sunday you can’t load up on the Monday Night Football game. You have to come to grips that you can’t win everyday, let alone every week, or every month.
In closing the problem that most gamblers have is they don’t look at sports betting as an investment. Remember this saying “sports wagering is not a sprint it’s a marathon. Remember results should not be measured daily, weekly, or monthly. If you take your time, stay focused, wield a little self control, sports wagering can be one of the most lucrative investments available today.Comment -

#210I'm not a big fan of the Cubs (no hitting, rookie pitcher) and the Mariners one I think is risky, cuz the Orioles are heating up. But I was already leaning towards Giants, Dodgers and Red Sox, but the last one does have a bad line and Red Sox have been cooling down a bit I think.Comment
