Wow, I just saw the most incredible shift by chisox in the cardinal game, Jose Martinez smoked a liner in what I thought was the gap and chisox center fielder was standing right there! Didn't have to move more than 2 steps! Dead in left center gap!! Omg I'd kill to have a manager half as smart as this guy!! That shift just stole a double and a game tying run!

Cobb pitched well, the fukkin offense just didn't give him any damn support! Then they finally plate a few runs to tie it and stinking pen can't get a out in 9th; lol. Oh well, anytime I play a game at +170ish and they tied in 9th I feel it was a good play and will win more than enough of those to be in the black in the long haul!! I was incredibly happy with the Balty and pads plays even tho only one cashed. All about the big picture and if we playing nice dogs in 3-2 ballgames all year we will be in the black where we belong!!

Good start, I think ppl playing against the sweep drove this one the wrong way. Sweeps happen!! I couldn't imagine playing a game just cause team was trying to avoid the sweep. Vargas a gas can and kinda expect muts go in bit of a funk after losing one their aces last night! Let's get it!

Agree 100%. I remember when Vargas was actually pretty good. Not too familiar with him these days other than that he got rocked his last start (first start of the year?) Braves up 3-0 now. Hope they can keep it up.

Yep, funny feeling too!! Looking at all of the stats it still says A's...value is on A's and they are the right play. Its baseball and would not be shocked if they lost by 10!!! Love it!!

If memory serves me correctly he was really good 1st half last year but his metrics told a far different story. I've never been a slave to sabermetrics, they a valuable tool but think it a mistake to take them as the end all be all as some do. They put way to much weight on strikeouts and consider outs by inducing light contact as luck which we all know isn't really the case, some guys can just pitch and the reason they sport a low babip isn't luck, it skill!!! They just give no credit to guys that know how to pitch, which a mistake imo. I live in the gray area, where as I think a lot of guys want to try and make things black and white!!

Glad you have time to post. Always enjoy reading your thoughts. Still looking for a DOTD to play and not sure I like much. A's just make me nervous. Especially the RL. Still don't see how anyone could justify playing Seattle here though.
