    Shady.. is this right?
Hey all. Was wondering if I can get some feedback.
So, yesterday I placed a 1,000 bet to win 1,400 on the nationals and this was an ACTION play. This was prior to Strasburg being announced to play. Line was +140 nationals.
'After the game, they only rewarded me $826.45. The strasburg line on their site game me -121.. I called my bookie and he called the website himself and they told him those are the rules. It was a pitching change and only applies to MLB? Am I missing something here ? Anyone know something I don't? Why does the pitching change matter ? I put ACTION..
    thanks all

It has been the same rule for the history of online betting at USA-facing books. If you bet "Action", all it means is you still have action in the event of a pitching change, but at the new price. Betting "Action" does NOT lock in old price.

One thing i dont get is why do we get the closing line of -110
              when the pitching change happened
              nats were still +105 - +110

Yeah, it would be nice if books were more clear on WHICH new price you get. Books range from new opener to closer to market average. Guess you'd need to contact book to find which new price they use.

99% of baseball is about pitching ,so if pitching change of course the betting line will change also,if you bet listed pitchers and was a change bet is cancelled ,you bet action so bet is whatever the line changed to,i think very fair for bettor,if you bet the cubs action the line would be lower

I don't know why anyone bets action in the first place

Only possible reason I can think of is for freeplays

Or maybe they don't care about the starting pitchers. But even there, probably still better to bet Listed so that you can gauge value (or lack of) in new line if there is pitching change.

Dumbest rule of all time. Then shouldn't it be the same for every sport? If tom Brady is out of a game, why don't the use the same method? That's disgusting and pathetic

No because baseball lines are set based on starting pitchers. In no other team sport is line based on one starting position.
