The Braves apparently have some good value on the runline. I don't like that it is a very public play and all, but what the hey, all sytems are go on this one as I indicated on last night's thread. I have the WHIP and the slugging% over the last 3 on my side. Braves it is.

My wahoos (UVA) pulled out a nail biter at Ole Miss today. They will play the rubber game of the series tomorrow at 3pm. Winner goes to the CWS. I can't even believe that UVA is 1 game away from Omaha. It's really hard to comprehend.

That being said, they probably just delayed the heartbreak another day for long suffering hoos such as myself. We could use a little mafia karma for this game tomorrow, so while I won't be wagering on it or recomending anyone else do so...I would really appreciate anybody who doesn't already have a dog in this fight to pull for Virginia tomorrow. We need all the help we can get to break decades upon decades of curses, bad luck, and choke jobs.

Congrats to UVA! I hope they win and go to CWS. I also wish they would have won yesterday, because I had money on the game. Ill make sure I dont put any money on them ever again, and maybe that will ensure their birth in the big game

Thanks Chic! I saw you had them yesterday. I did too. I won't bet on them either, but I kind of like their chances tomorrow. They beat Ole Miss' ace today and had to scratch and claw to do it. Went from 1 down in the 8th to 1 up going into the 9th. Gave up a leadoff double in the 9th and had that runner on 3rd w/ 1 out and still made it out of there with the win.

The momentum is in the hoos corner. This is the biggest day in the history of their program. UVA has enjoyed more success than any program could ask for in sports like soccer and lacrosse and now even tennis.... but let's face it nobody really cares about those sports. To make the CWS would be a major, major accomplishment for a bunch of gritty never-say-die kids. I'm really, really pumped and nervous about his game.

No and no. I had money on UVA yesterday and they choked it away on a 9th inning error. I played the first 4 or 5 races at Belmont, lost a quick $50, and swore off the ponies forever .... for the 3rd time this week.

The PHI/LAD under is going to cash too at 2-1 in the 9th. I didn't play it (like the MIL/ATL last night) though and didn't add it so it doesn't count.

There's a guy I got into it with recently on the Player's Talk board that tells me you can throw stats and trends out the window because it's impossible to handicap sports. Says it's a waste of time to even try. I guess I'm just on a hell of a lucky streak then...

9-3 on unders now. Still not a trend, but a hell of a good start....
