That's it, I'm officially announcing the end of full game plays for me. The pitching is so diluted that teams can't even hold onto 6 and 7 run leads. Didn't someone just come back from 10 runs down recently? Pathetic!

Only 5 inning plays from now on!

I do think you can find lines for 1st 5 innings where it makes sense when you're afraid of a bullpen blowing the under later in the game. As far as taking a side, it's Russian roulette man. As soon as you decide to just take a side for the 1st 5, they wind up tied or trailing and rally late and you get screwed. Hard to be patient with bullpens sometimes.

A's and Whitesox tied at 2, A's RP gave up a 3-run homerun to Thome in the botton of 8th.

Mmmm... What you gain in not having runs given up by the bullpen, you lose the chance for a late inning comeback. I've had far too many frustrating 5 inning bets lost that would have won if they were full game.

          It goes both ways..

I'd rather take my chances with the 5 inning plays and quality starters.

not only it can goes both ways, sometimes the price for first price is higher. So you can stand to loose even more. BOL next time. I lost on the Mets game too. I should have stayed with the Yanks.

That's why bullpens are much more important than the dude who's starting the game.

Yup, I got burned on this as I'm sure many others did. The good thing is that Putz will probably lose his role as a relief pitcher in the 8th very soon.

Given he is scheduled to rest today regardless, I'm more WAY confident playing the Mets today w/ Santana on the mound.

However, with that much chalk, I might look into other options... possibly RL? or small parlay.

                      BOL everyone

Quality starters? Yeah, there about 10 of those in the entire league.

Exactly my point. I'd rather go with Santana, Halladay, Lincecum, and a few others for 1H bets. I don't need to play every game every day.
