Mr. Crumbs Final Baseball Thread Sunday 5/24/09

As most know I play a couple of systems, and I am going to let those systems do the talking for me and take my yearly break from capping until the college football season begins in late August. I will be making a few plays here and there, and most notably on WNBA. BigMoney will be in charge of the WNBA thread so everyone be on the lookout for it. The WNBA is very easy to handicap, and should be profitable for those who like to play it. BigMoney is an expert capper at that game. I think you all will enjoy his flair. So first of all I want to thank those who have contributed to our threads here in baseball and on NBA. I hope that in my absence that the thread will continue to be the strongest thread on SBR with the most valuable information.

I am going into autopilot and will be spending a lot of quality time with my Missus as we go through the months leading up to the anticipated birth of our newest member of the family. This move is being made for both her benefit and mine.

Word is he was a little annoyed that Medlen got the call and not him. I think the Braves are doing what the Rays did to Longoria. Wait until June so you get another year before he's eligible for FA. Either way, he'll be up by the AS break and once he's up I don't think he's going anywhere. Can't wait.

I think some guys can do it. I think joeyp on the horse forum makes a profit. He's disciplined enough to walk away when his card is floundering.

I know for a fact that he made well into the 4 figures on Derby day. He picked like 8 out of the first 10 winners... and not all favorites by any means. He won me an opening daily double, two more DD's and two pick 3's in the first 8 races. He hit the opening pick 4 too but I forgot to play it. I was up about $250 after the 4th race playing $1 pick 3's and DD.

That was a fun day.

did you play anything yesterday? i dropped about $90 at belmont....my winners were very chalky, and i actually took a slightly different approach today in my 3rd day. first 2 days i was more conservative with my picks, trying to make sure i got my feet wet w/o ripping up tickets every race. todays plays is how i normally bet...always looking hard to beat the morning line favorite which i did in almost every race.

Oh I also lost my ass in stocks in what was it 2000, when they had the big tech bubble burst back then... Close to 18,000... but I am honest!

I do not give stock tips because I have not been in the market for a while I am up 3500 last three years... But have not even made a trade in over a year... Not close to getting the 20g's back... But took some cash in 02...35g's put in a 7 year cd...and it is returning the money I lost at least...
