Both starters are below average but I actually have Mengden rated a tad better. Perez has started his regression as I expected and there is still room for more given his 5.03 xFIP, which is 6th worst in the Major Leagues among all qualified starters.

A's dont have much for offense (well below league average in scoring). Even if pitchers are equally as bad, wouldnt you think Texas bats at home-field provide too much of an advantage to play the A's?

I like the Tigers and Verlander going against the Red Sox and Pomegranate or Pomerantz, whatever his damn name is. He didn't look too sharp the last time out.

+134 with a higher rated starter (albeit marginally) is good enough for me. The bottom line is that when everything shakes out, model only has Texas 52% (-108)

Hey RB,
You have the same problem as I do being on the West Coast and getting crappy lines. It makes a huge difference betting the games as close to the time when LT releases them. Lately, I have been setting my freaking alarm every morning at 5am. It sucks, but, usually saves a few hundred $ a day. I recommend doing it though.

How high of an ROI do you think you have over a baseball season Mike? My guess would be less than 5%, and that is not implying that you're bad or anything, it's just simply extremely hard to hold any better. So if you're all of a sudden getting $5 less for every $100 you bet, well, then your 5% ROI has all of a sudden turned into zero.
