I'm new to betting baseball, and by no means am i calling anyone out here. I have use this site a lot for basketball and football and there is always someone everyone looks up to on this site in every sport. And after reading the baseball thread CK's thread is always hot. I'm planning on starting to bet baseball and was wondering if i should hop on this thread and use the info everyone posts in his thread. But i would like see his record...BOL

#2I don't believe he posts it anywhere, but I'd consider him one of the better cappers for baseball. I am dabbling in baseball this year (it is tanking my overall winning percentage...doh!), though from what I've seen he usually has some pretty good takes on the games.Everyone has their teams they know better, so I'd suggest if you are going to tail people that you read a bunch of different people and get a feel of who knows what.
I cap my own games (3-5 per day), bet 1-2 strong games, and then I check out CK and a few other "regulars" to see their takes. I'm shooting for .500....hoping to make my profit on the + games.Comment -

#5He does not post his record, but all I have to say is that he is a great capper. Probably the reason as to why i have continue to read his thread and this forum on a daily basis. His crumbs play of the day usually always hits, like today...Chicago White Sox. I got them at +120 and won a nice chunk of change before I even left the office today. I would say follow him as much as you can, but if you don't feel his advice then lay off. I have won a lot of money following him. CK - hope you read this, but thanks for everything!Comment -

The type of bet really depends on your approach and if the lines you cap are sharp or not. I bet Team Over/Under if I have a really good understanding of the batting lineup and pitching matchup, AND I think it is a favorable line. I look at RLs and RRLs when a team gets streaky, but since I follow dogs they can be very hit and miss. I'm dabbling in 1st 5 inning bets, but I don't have a good handle on them as of yet, so I don't look for them usually. As for regular O/U's, it all depends on the pitching matchup for me. Some people like to look at ump trends, but I haven't gone there yet.Comment -

Maybe so he doesn't get a biased response? Not to mention that going on someones tread and asking about their record is generally perceived as "calling them out" which usually gets a pretty big backlash for responses. Why you would consider it "not cool" is perplexing, the guy is simply looking for information.
That being said CK is a good capper, thought I am always leery about those who don't post their record I would likely consider him an exception to the rule. That being said there are plenty of people here who seem to worship him, which makes him somewhat overrated.
Overall I would definitely take a look at his picks and consider them as part of your handicapping process, but don't follow them blindly.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. All this is doing right here is opening up a door to attract haters to post false comments to ruin ones reputation in which that person has worked hard to establish. So no, I dont think it is cool to create threads about other members of the forum.Comment -

#11There are several ways to ask someone about their record without "calling them out" so to say.

#13Things would be a lot clearer if CK defined terms like Heavy, Big, etc. If you follow CK's posts I'd definately suggest using a well thought out money management system. The terms CK uses could really mean ANYTHING as far as how many units are going on a play, and if you are a gambler, as we all know, the only thing that matters in the end is how much money you earned. OP, if you tail him you might want to ask that or just only play "Heavy's" or something like that so you can use your own consistent units. Other than that, CK is an excellent capper with lots of good ideas.Comment -

#19Fair enough...free information. It is a safe way to keep one's reputation I suppose. With an excellent reputation, and a huge following one has power which is what scares people I guess. Take a look at the whole BetUS fiasco. How many customers did that bring in because of the following?Comment -

#23I don't need to say this but will anyway. If you're looking for a "pretty won loss record" by flat betting he's probably not what you're "after" but if you can get past the record issue and focus on money, he's worth a look. Do I agree with all his picks? Hell no, but he's got sound enough reasons to be on them that do make sense. Lastly, you could also track them yourself if you really wanted the goods.Comment -
