@alex: first part of your query basically means batting average? (SUm(hit.......)/.........)

here is a nice and simple one :31%ROI ML and 37% ROI RL :line<=-186 and A and division=o:division and league=NL and NGT and rest=0 and 2007<=season

I don't mean to downplay your work guys, I'm using trends and SDQL myself for my handicapping, but isn't it risky to base a play on just one single query?

I mean if you played around a bit more you might (probably even?) find queries that completely contradict the one you're running, possibly at an even higher ROI for the other team.

For example, we can see that the Brewers are 2-6 in their last 8 games following a win and Angels are 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Milwaukee. Huge advantage Angels all of a sudden.

Your can always find conflicting trends/queries for sure. One must weigh what he/she feels is worthy of a play. If you have something to offer I'm sure those interested can make the choice to play it. I try to put up more than 1 query for a play but sometimes when I have success with one I'll stick with it for a while

Thanks for the reply man. I don't have anything to contribute, your queries are on a whole different level than my simple ones . I enjoy reading this thread and often either follow or stay away from bets based on your plays after I read up a bit on them myself.

Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing.

for the brewers one , it's strange cause results are completely different if you put AL instead of NL league in the query.
