#2This is from Yahoo.
RHP Chris Jakubauskas, who'd only pitched in a dozen Class AAA games before the 2009 season, will be the starting pitcher Thursday for Seattle, replacing injured LHP Ryan Rowland-Smith. Jakubauskas, who made the team this spring as a non-roster pitcher, is a former independent league player who didn't take up pitching until turning pro. He was a first baseman and outfielder in college. "Mentally I came to spring training just to do my best and show them what I could do," Jakubauskas said after getting the news. "This is a big day, but mostly I'm concerned about Row. We need him to be healthy and pitching."
Obviously, he doesn't have a lot of experience and if the Angels can get men on base, I think Scioscia will give them the green light to run. I'm thinking of playing the Angels now. If you read this before the game, what were you thinking Wilforth?Comment -

#3hey Kid..I was honestly leaning Mariners in this game man. They have been hot and Im not sold on this Angels team offensively. Also, Angels bullpen hasnt been that great. You have any thoughts on this game?Comment -

#4I just posted in CK's thread. I agree that the Angels have struggled so far and I know this Mariners team isn't the same as last year. But Jakubauskas doesn't have a lot of experience pitching at any level because he just started to pitch! I'm leaning Angels but I'm too sure. Might just stay away altogether...

#8I know what you are saying wilforth...Im going to ride the offense in Seattle and say they can outswing their opponents. Jakub will be out and it will be up to a bullpen duel...ill take mariners bullpen over angels after what I have seen thus far this season.Comment -

#9Yeah, you're right about the Angels. I might take a look at the FF for the Halos because I don't trust their pen one bit. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.Comment -

#13From my experiences of betting the Angels last year, the Angels are trash against new pitchers so I wouldn't be to quick on jumping on the Angels tonite. Maybe I'm wrong, we'll see..Comment -

#14Also several of the Angels, none of the starters, flew to Baltimore today for the Nick Adenhart burial. Distraction or not I don't know. If I had to play it...I'd side with Seattle.Comment -
