Usually I would say yes, since it is the difference between a winner and push. If the choices were, for example, between 7 and 7.5, that is the difference between a push and a loss, and to me that makes a bigger difference. Also, if I can buy a 1/2 point for about 15 cents on baseball totals, I usually will.

Good point, but earlier today when I released the play the wind was 12 MPH out to center. It has since changed and is actually blowing in slightly, go figure! The umpire leans slightly to the over and I still like the over but not as much. Good luck to all of us.

Your point about the shadows in the early innings is exactly how it is at Wrigley when they have the 3:00 afternoon starts, only in the later innings. It used be worse before they had lights. An automatic under play unless the wind or umpire was uber over.
