glad you have joined the insanity! besides some of the guys ive known for years that have recently thrown their hats in, the guys around the top now, and guys like LT and plenty of others that have made solid choices but havnt been getting the bounces, this thread has the potential to be up so much as a whole.. despite mag's feelings bout me at the moment ive never said anything but what a awesome job he doing with this thread. hopefully he continues to administrate as well as participate.

pretty sure i was in fact right around 8-2 at the 10 gm mark as well bro! (as im sure were a few others around the top) .. lot of things can happen over the coarse of your next 25 or so picks. more importantly this leader board is full of guys that are relentless, unreal how fast the heat comes down if you drop 2 in a row! you gotta post a 6-1 type week to gain any type of separation and that gap closes very quickly. the guys in this thread are awesome, this thread a great idea and with this format this a long distance marathon that id imagine has very little separation at the end of the road. some of the guys that got off to slower starts but have maintained around the break even point will no doubt make a charge toward and passed some of us before it all said and done..

So, you think you can improve ATG spread sheet?? It looks good. but if you can improve and improvise please do so. Why don't you PM ATG and put your minds together. May be you fella's can come up with something??? So far his makes the forum look pretty damn good, just my opinion. But all improvements would just enhance our standings.

pitching change in atl killed the only dog i really liked today.. trying to talk myself into nyy rl but ill be 1st to admit rl's are not something i feel comfortable playing.. as mentioned this morning i like the chisox and grabbed them at -120 as Aces suggested (thank you ace! wasnt able to post but took your advice on the number which was spot on, he really has a gift for that i dont posses).. fading fish blindly till they win a gm or it gets pricey. looking at kc and trying to come up with a dog now that i cant play brew crew. wife is getting impatient as we supposed to be on road so im gettin in shower then gonna finish up in the car!!Comment -

Maybe. But what if:
1) you could increase your win rate substantially by ONLY taking plays you really loved or had data to support or
2) what if he didn't have time to study the card or
3) what if Friday's were too inconsistent or
whatever...
Sure a play can be found and supported most days, but let's not kid ourselves, we're often a bunch of action junkies around here and that does not support long term success. Just my opinion.

Well boys and girls, @ 7:07 PM I realized I was so busy posting in here I missed my one and single play of the night, Washington ??? Maybe it is an omen??? I was taking ML on first 5 -1/2 -165, run line -1 .5 -112, and ML -270. 5X. We'll see if I saved a ton of cash or got my " ass mopped" LOL. This has no bearing on this thread I know.Comment -
Ok so here is my two cents for what it is worth...
The whole purpose of this thread and the reason I asked Mag to bring it back this year was for a bunch of smart baseball minds to share opinions and information and to help each other out to beat the books. Last year Mags ran this and we didn't have anywhere near the same following but we were able to keep the forum clean and free of non sense. When I suggested Mags bring this back we had no idea it would develop this kind of following and have this much success. There are so many people that make excellent contributions to this thread everyday so it would be a shame to see it go to hell over childish squabbling.
Bottom line..... this is Mags thread so out of respect for the work he puts into it I think we all need to cut out the petty crap and focus on the purpose of this thread which is to discuss baseball and dogs. Continuing these kind of back and forth school yard squabbles only serves to bury the valuable information and picks that this thread is intended for. It is not fair to Mags to force him out of his own thread just to avoid the baiting and taunting and it will ultimately ruin this whole thing.
Out of respect for Mags and for everyone else who comes here to discuss baseball I ask everyone to please respect Mags wishes and when he asks you to drop it do so. Lets bury the hatchet and get back to baseball gentlemanComment -

Same boat for me mags, well doing 100 things, trying to leave for the lake, and then realizing the dog I intended on playing was no longer cause the pitching change. On a day where I left for work only having that 1 dog wrote down as a potential play.
Sorry for no line and posting it so late. On my phone in car so between getting calls or text, driving thru a little bs dead spot w crap service, and being incredably tired I doubt this a good play anyways.. I'll check line I got and post it if that ok?Comment -

I didnt get full access yet just caught the 2nd link. I was not implying it was bad in any way lol. If we were able to know what our avg price per pick were it could help people with BR management, it could also give them an idea of what % they need to be at for the year to be profitable and also give them an idea of when they could take a chance on a bigger dog.Comment -
