Huge splits this season but nothing out of the ordinary over the last 5 season's. My personal opinion on things like that are they are more of a anomaly year to year. Jake get after that ass if he gets squeezed. My gut is Wash is the "play" but over valued here as Stras is always overrated. Guy is not near as good as most believe him to be. Sure he can be dominating at times but his numbers don't bear him out being an "ace". Hell is not even the best pitcher on this staff.

Thanks man!Dombrowski does some head scratching things with this team as far as hiring a rookie manager with a team in win now mode and his bull pen construction? Never any luck in that department. Those 2 things along go along way to negating Detroit's strengths.

I hear you man. It's worth a "watching bet" or some sugar money so to speak. Like i said I think Wash takes this one but it is a baseball game with an inflated number going against some of the best pro's in the sport in SF.

I know about Kershaw's well documented struggles vs Cards. That was a much different Cards team and Kershaw is on another level even now. Waino has given much of today's lineups fits. LA has a strong lu but Waino is an old pro and I believe will navigate it well. While neither bullpen is what you call lock down I think runs will be at a premium here.

I am taking a small shot with Detroit here believe it or not after I have bashed there manager. Verlander has been up and down all season but finished strong. This is desperation mode for Detroit as they have little shot at advancing if they go down 0-2. I believed Verlander will be at his best here as the pressure in a way is off him after Detroit's so called ace was off a little last nite. Detroit being challenged in the dugout I am betting Verlander comes up big and the bats get to Chen. I see no value at all in betting the current line as is because I believe Baltimore will win today if it is close so I am selling runs here and have Detroit-1.5 for half a unit.

My lean is over and Royals. That defense and the way they run is a huge advantage in the playoffs. I did not see anything out of the Angels last nite. Best record or not they lack a playoff team. Most of there hitters just feast off of B pitching and over inflate there numbers. No strong feeling ethier way because of the pitchers involved here are iffy in this spot.

Just grabbed Giants +168 1U. Peavy vs Strasburg. I got to take my chances with this number. I believe the Nationals are the most complete team in the entire playoffs but this number is inflated. Giants have too many old pro's that know how to get the job done and as I discussed the managers in my earlier post with Ausmus vs Showalter I take Bochy over Williams any day. While I never put too much stock in any one game especially a regular season game Strasburg was lit up by the Giants at home Aug 24th by the Giants. He went 4in gave up 8 hits and 5 runs and lost. Strasburg has no playoff experience and has been coddled. Peavy has playoff experience although shaky but I like this number i see a lot of value here. Peavy has been strong down the stretch getting 7/9 quality starts. I know the old veteran will be chomping at the bit.

I gotta go. Won't be around much this weekend, but hopefully can share my plays. If you got any ideas please share them. Bring this one home.
