Not as good as his last start -- perfect thru 6.

    Ump is squeezing him too.

80 pitches though, he's not finishing this one either way.

    6 K's.

    Jake is filthy.

No hitter thru 6. That's two games in a row he's done that. Wicked stuff. Let's see how he navigates the 7th with 90 pitches under his belt.

Renteria is going to have a tough job if he holds this thru 7. No way he can go full 9 at 90 pitches thru 6. He can't allow him to throw 125+ pitches.

Problem is his pitch count won't allow him to complete. Cubs could use an insurance run or three.

Arrieta might just be one of the best pitchers in baseball now. What happens when a former top prospect with great stuff finally puts it together.

Bottom of the order due up in 8th and 9th -- Napoli, Bogaerts, Drew, Betts, Ross. Then leadoff hitter Holt.

Napoli the toughest out. If he gets him, look out. Pitch count an issue though. He could get pulled with a no-no going.

They have to cheer for someone, it can't be the hitless home team. LOL. At least they know talent when they see it, that does happen too much at Fenway anymore.
