After going 4-0 again yesterday, that brings the total since Tuesday to 12-1. Let's see what we have for tonight.
Detroit Tigers @ Houston Astros : Det -138 ML . Det. TT 4.5. Houst. TT 3.5
While Verlander has spent most of the season as everybody's favorite punching back, due to being a former Cy Young award winner, he brings his 6-7 record and 4.82 ERA with him tonight. The news is not all bad (could it get worse) His last outing vs. Cleveland he amped up his fastball somewhat and has regained (Some) of his previous form with 8 K's.
He got a no decision in his teams victory.
Peacock @ 2-4 4.50, not much to talk about here. he doesn't even register on the ritcher scale of MLB.
That brings us to the Tigers "lumber" which has been killing it lately. They are on a six game ROAD winning streak with scores that tally: 6-0, 8-6, 8-2, 10-4-5-4, and 6-4. Victor Martinez has multi hit games in 8 of his last 12 & Kinsler has 5 straight in his last 6.
Detroit is ranked #5 In MLB runs per game @ 4.67, but in there last 3 they are 7.33. They rank #2 in hits per game @ 9.55, and there last 3 have been 13.00 !!!
We have to go way down the list to find Houston, oops found them. Runs per game @ #27 with 3.67 and last 3 only 2.67. That won't cut it against this squad. Hits per game 2nd to last to lowly SD. @ 7.78.
SUMMATION: Detroit ML -138
For those more ambitious I would also recommend Detroit run line -1.5 and Detroit TT over 4.5
