That's also a lie because I've noticed games where teams are favored then swing to being underdogs have lost and the team that changed to the favorite from being an underdog are winning. I actually would say pay more attention to games where the underdog and favorite switch dramatically.

Rather than the line I would pay more attention to the fact that the Reds have historically smacked Samardzija around. His digits against them over his career and last year in particular are ugly. Not to mention Samardzija's numbers in day games and home games are worse than night and away, both last year and over his career.
