SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL: 4/6/14

DODGERS/GIANTS OVER 6 1/2 (I'm going large on this one, lines way too low)

Here's why...

total runs in 2014 so far:

Giants - 2nd
Dodgers - 9th

I know it's early but Baseball is a game of streaks and these two offenses are hot out of the gate.

Giants runs so far...9,4,2,8,8,7. They scored more than 6.5 runs 4 out of 6 games this year by themselves.

Matt Cain is on the bump for the Giants. He looked very hittable in his start @ the D-Backs earlier in the week. 5 IP, 2k, 7 hits, 2 walks, 2 ER. Coming off his off year last year with a 4.00 era, I just don't think he's the same pitcher as earlier in his career. Here's what the Dodgers did to Cain in 2013...

Either 4/11 .364 avg
Puig 3/8 .375 avg (1 hr, 1bb)
CC 5/15 .333 avg (2 sb, 1bb)
Hanley 2/7 .286 avg (2 bb)
Kemp 2/8 .250 avg (1hr, 3bb)
Uribe 5/11 .455 avg (5rbi)

The Dodgers counter with Grienke. He looked sharp in his opener, and while I think he's a great pitcher, we all know his tendency to get rocked. San Fran's offense can put it to him in a hurry.

He has good analysis. The problem is that everytime somebody start with "my gift to you" or "thank me later", they usually end up losing.

I didn't mean to come off cocky or anything, I just identified an edge and wanted to share it with the community here. It's nice and sunny here and temp around 80 right now. Game start at 5 so it's still bright and sunny for at least a couple hours into the game. Line low because of the name of the pitcher. Matt Cain and Greinke. Public just look at ERA and recognizable name and pick under in this game. But Matt Cain is nowhere near what he used to be (before signing that huge contract).

Andrew, I like your take on this game. Gonna chew on this for a while cause game won't start in a couple hours. I was just worry about bad karma. Just look at a few thread below "absolute locks" or something like that. Guess how that turned out.
Regardless, appreciate your sharing though. GL with all your bets tonight.

Matt Cain is gonna get rock tonight. Question is can the Giants score off of Greinke? if the Giants can score more than 2 runs, game will go over. Still thinking ........... Maybe Dodgers themselves can score more than 6.5 runs.

Matt Cain 4 ER thru 4 innings...just about what I expected. 3 HRs allowed. The problem is Greinke looks nasty out there. 4-0 Dodgers top 5.
