LAD v. Miami Marlins 'Under' 7.5
-Like the matchup in this game, I know Capuano has been up an down this season, but his control has been better as of late.

-Yasiel Puig is out of the lineup tonight - he's struggled lately but this adds to the under.

-Jacob Turner is a legit #2 on this starting rotation, which says a lot given Jose Fernandez dominating NL lineups this season. Turner manages to minimize damage with RISP, and in his home starts he owns a 2.34 ERA, he's comfortable with the dimensions to center, as many of his hardest hit balls are lead to that part of the field (on purpose)

-I'd write more, but I want to get this play out before the game starts.

    Record on my posted totals:

    10-5-0 on Total posted plays:

7-3-0 in 'over' bets, 3-2-0 in 'under' bets, 1 NBA 'over' total bet. (approx +~15.5 units. @1u$50)

capuanas control has been better as of late? what? for 1 if you are talking about control... he has 3 walks in his last 2 compared to 4 in his previous 8 before those 2... and 2... capuano has given up 9 earned runs and 20 hits in his last 2 starts

Yeah he allowed 10 hits in his previous outing, and we can quantify it - but compared to his month of May, and a stretch where he allowed an ER close to 7 I think he'll match- up better with Miami than a good lefty-hitting team like Tampa.

I'm leaning more on Turner here for diminished runs, but Capuano has been better than he was in the beginning of the year, yes you can recount his previous two starts as far as totals go, but he's had a tendency to rebound from poorer starts this year.

Well shoot...hope it ends 5-2 dodgers. If dodgers don't score here in the 4th inning it will look like the old team, with 10 + hits and 1 run.

Wow, I walk away briefly, come back and the Dodgers put up a 4-spot. Turner was getting those ground balls, if he could only have fielded his position better he would have been out of that inning, Schumaker was helping - clearly heh. And Turner is still new, give him some time he will be a good pitcher, he is the #2 on this staff whether that is saying anything on a team with 47 wins. But I have seen him shut some good teams. Now I have to rely on Capuano to shut-down Miami and that is not something I have any faith in.

Yeah, two of those walks were intentional though remember, he's had 3 double plays, and that error allowed a run to score, so he's only charged 3ER.... incredible. Not to mention that 4-spot, 3 runs from two infield singles, lol -Now some guy named Arquimedes is pitching...

Not sure why I'm surprised though. He did this same thing against KC a few starts ago, where he basically walked the entire team and couldn't throw strikes to save his life, but escaped with only 2 ER

Just a fail game, that 6-run 4th inning with those infield singles killed this play, thought Turner would be able to field that play to get out of the inning but such is baseball. Won many totals on "ifs" and lost on the same. But still a loss:
