what up everyone, been posting in pacmans thread last few days as ive finally had a little time from work..if ya know me u know how i like to do it, hopefully there still a lot of the solid cats around here that i enjoy talking bases with and we can hammer out a nice winning sunday..
have a few to talk about to get the ball rolling and look forward to everyone chiming in and getting some discussion going...
nats/bucs un 7 +100... not thrilled with balking bob behind the dish and gio been erratic but neither of these teams have had any success against lefties this yr (nats hitting .197 with a .262 obp and pit no better hitting .218 and a .239 obp) both barely mustering 3 runs a gm off lefties.. wind blowing in pretty hard, wandy been lights out at home and nats just not hitting, both guys had very good starts against each others respective clubs last season..in the end i think 4 runs wins this thing and prob only take 3..might be able to get better + 2marro as i doubt under gets a lot of luv but i like it at even money or better..
cws/kc ov 8-115..hate paying extra juice on a total and honestly might play it at 8.5 and get + money..quintana stats are solid and his advanced stats back them up but he hasnt been going deep and sox pen has been roughed up as of late, more importantly kc has been smacking lefties around to the tune of almost 7 runs per 9 innings and a .298 ba and they roughed this guy up a few times last season..on the other side davis is a walk waiting to happen and muchlinski and his 61% K RATE BEHIND THE PLATE GOTTA FIGURE MORE WALKS ARE IN ORDER..biggest worry is davis has pitched well against the chisox even giving away a bunch of free passes but he hasnt been so fortunate this season, honestly think kc prob decent play as well but hoping davis walks get him into trouble as i think kc will do their part to get this thing to 9 at least..
so far im 2-0 on posted cards plays in pacs thread and def playing something in this gm 2marro just debating what it gonna be? if u know me im big on fading cards going for the sweep but like i said b4 yesterdays gm freese and jay looked much better fri night and both delivered, molina and holliday have ripped estrada and think they can get him for a few early on so lean cards 1st 5 -.5 when it comes out as i still trust garcia to get thru 5 with or w/o his best stuff..wind gonna be blowing in and also considering a ff under play but cards bats are really starting to come around so iffy on that..i dunno gotta sleep on it..
looking forward to some of my old friends chiming in and maybe some new faces as well, feel free to comment on these or any other gms you like or wish to discuss (just putting team A -125 or whatever really doesnt help, prefer logic, stats, hunches, something that can be discussed as that what we here for right?)...hopefully we get some good discussion and can bang out some winners
