Delmon Young with the worst throw in World Series history
This is one MBL'er I truly hate. Overpaid, out of shape, and clearly could not care less.

I have to say on replay that was perhaps the most hilarious attempt at throwing a baserunner out at the plate. It literally went 15ft and into the ground.

Did not even reach the infield B4 hitting the ground. Then it bounces x100 B4 reaching home plate.

He would be unemployed, and living in a cardboard box w/o the advent of the DH.

He should have spared himself the embarrasment, the best arm in the show would not have even threw out the runner.

Yeah I remember seeing this last night, and could not stop laughing. I think Delmon's upper lip got in the way of his vision.

Have you guys noticed the tattoo flames running up his forearm. Looks like he got it done at some tweakers trailor park home who was experimenting with a tattoo gun. With all that money wouldnt you laser that shit off or at least get a cover up?

I completely agree, the guy can hit. The previous Yankees series, guy was on fire he had every single go ahead RBI in that series, that deserves credit, these are high pressure situations.

Hell yah. Hes hitting .306 2 Homeruns and 8 RBI's in the playoffs so far. Thats pretty damn good in my book.

He has a career .317 OBP, including .296 this year.
If you prefer to go by homers and RBI, he had 18 and 74 this year, with a ton of guys getting on base ahead of him.
He also struck out 112 times and grounded into 20 double plays!

well ok, if you want to go by a few games in the playoffs and ignore his long track record during the season...

So are you the guy that sticks up for Arod when he hits under .100 in the playoffs? The guy is hitting right now and right now is when it really counts. You make it sound like 74 RBI"s is bad??? Thats actually impressive and dont forget that he has Cabrera and Fielder up in front of him which arent the fastest guys in the league. Young is a good hitter.

A-Rod has nothing to do with this.

OK, this is nonsensical. He's a #5 hitter in a lineup where the 1-4 hitters get on base a lot. 74 RBI is awful.
Young is not a good hitter. If you want to take a few good playoff games over several seasons of evidence to the contrary, then you can believe what you want. But the facts say he's not a good hitter.
Oh, and by the way, OBP is the single most important thing for a hitter. Young can't even get on base 30% of the time. That's well below the league average.

If you watched his first at bat tonight that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
