Texas has plenty to play for....the division and positioning in the playoffs. They still have to win 5 out of the last 8 games in order to clinch the division. They are only 4 games ahead of Oakland. If they lost the next two against them then Oak is only 2 back.

yes, I realized Texas having "nothing" to play for is an exagerration, but they don't
have as much pressure on them as Oakland. It is highly unlikely the A's could gain 4+
to overcome Texas in 8 games. It's strange how the season is wrapping up with the
A's and Angels playing the Rangers, and the A's and Angels playing the Mariners, there
are multiple possibilities although the Rangers are the least desperate... and the A's
are more needful of a win for many reasons, one being that the Angels are playing the
Mariners FIVE TIMES
