DEL POTRO to railroad that Ferret ass tomorrow?????
I wouldn't put much into the H2H here.

This has Delpo/Muggay battling for a right to go to the semis written all over. And that should be a great match.

Definitely Delpo over Ferrer. The way Delpo rolled on Nishi the last round was rather impressive. Ferrer dropping a set to Roddick, not terribly impressive. Only way i see Ferrer having a chance to pull this one out is trying to push it to a four or five setter.

I don't know about railroad but i do think huan will win this. Ferrer is probably the more athletic of the two and better movement on the court, but Delpotro is a heavy hitter and if he stays aggressive and avoids long rallies, he'll edge out a win.

delpo is not just a heavy hitter, he's a top 3 heavy hitter
when it's on, his forehand is just as beautiful as it is destructive, a thing of beauty

Absolutely agree about him easily being a top 3 heavy hitter, just out of curiousity, who do you have up there that can challenge for that (assuming you're talking about top players)? One could have put soderling being right up there, but not sure you're counting him given his illness issues over the past year.

Also think delpo will edge out Ferrer.

benandjerry, yeah, shame that we may never see soda on court again and soda and delop were the top 2 heavy hitters couple of years back

delop seems to have lost just a little bit of pace after his wrist surgery but its still breathtaking to watch him rip winners at such ridiculous pace

in my opinion, berdych is the only power player(including mugs) who shows any kind of consistency in his groundstrokes that can outhit delpo on his good day

also, thought delpo looked like a crap against soeda but his performance against sushikori was amazing and quite frankly ferru was disappointing against fading roddick

i say delpo in 4 tight sets

              Underestimating Ferrer is poison.

                ferrer all the way

ferrer is the best among all left .. he gives 200 % and always tries and never gives up ..

ferrer will win .. delpotro inconsistent .. with rain break and delay issues, ferrer got the upper hand being a strong player mentally

Sure is a shame about soda, I also agree that delpo still hasnt fully recovered from his injury. I think I'd had to take delpo over soda though, but I'd have birdshit slightly below though, when all are onto their games of course.

I actually got delpo -1.5 sets at pretty heavy + money, thinking that was god value. I really like Ferrer, but he just wasnt impressive, and this isnt clay, so I feel like if delpo is really on, there is really only so much Ferrer could do.
