Ferrer can probably take it to a tiebreak or two and maybe grab a set. I don't know if he can push it to five as Nadal has not dropped a set in this year's FO. Every set will be a battle, though.

That's what I was thinking. I'd be willing to take Ferrer + 1 1/2 sets.

If you want to make any kind of bet on Ferrer, do it live ... wait for the right spot, because Nadal is more than capable of winning this in three tight sets.

I think Ferrer takes Nadal to 4 or 5 (I hope Ferrer can pull off the upset), I am going to take Ferrer +1.5 set myself.

in 8 years how many times has he lost 2 sets? maybe only 2 times in the last 5 years or maybe overall?

the big boppers are the only ones who can push Nadal (Djoker, Fed, Soda, maybe Potro... guys w/ the guns). Isner jumped in there and knabbed those 2 sets on clay b/c he's got that nuclear missile serve.

Ferrer is built on will and not talent. To grab 2 sets off of Rafa he has to play out of his mind. I'm rooting for him and I hope he wins... b/c I really don't like Nadal. But a Rafa -1.5 sets might be a lock.

If we were talking about one of the big boys, I'd consider +1.5. And maybe Ferrer is #4 on clay in the world right now... but that's going against all the competition. When you go against Rafa, you need to have weapons. Matchup-wise... he's definitely not the 3rd toughest clay opponent for Rafa.. even tho he's #4 on clay.
