As much as I admire Nishi's game, Murray is a beast. Plus he's been in top form now for last 3 months. I see Murray winning in straight sets.

Terrible spot to take Nishikori coming off a 3rd straight 5 set match + it's his first Slam QF + Murray is rested + it's just not a good match-up of styles for Nishi. Great tournament for him, but I think the odds are probably not large enough on him here and even if he were +900, I wouldn't take it.

Murray might pull a Murray and lose the first set, might be some value there, after that Nishi might be so gassed he might not win 5 games in the 2-4th set..

I think straight sets for Murray. Murray 3-0 is -157 @ 5dimes. Their meeting last year was pretty brutal for Nishi and he was playing well at the time. 6-3, 6-0. I don't see much to like about anything related to Nishikori. Kid could prove me wrong, but I just don't see it.

Murray will blow him out, great match up for him, and that's not even factoring Nish's fatigue and inexperience.

If you're betting on Nishikori based on the Tsonga match, IMO you are starting off in the hole already. Tsonga doesn't put maybe 30% of the work in that Murray does fitness and prep wise. Nishi is a great counter puncher against power players who want to play short points and rip big winners like a Tsonga. Murray isn't in that category. He has so many different shot variations he can throw at someone and style changes, playing passive, playing aggressive, counter punch, whatever ... he's very difficult to match against if you're not used to playing him like a Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. His experience in getting to Slam semis is a big factor here IMO. Previous post isn't suggesting Nishikori doesn't have Slam experience, but to a T .. most of the guys and gals who have been to Slam semis and/or finals will tell you that getting from the quarters to the last stages is a very difficult first time hurdle to pass, especially going against someone who has been in that position in nearly eveny Grand Slam for the last two years.

                      I agree.

I think Murray will take him in straight sets with possibly having a harder time in the first than the latter two.

I can see a 6-4 or even 7-5 in first but 6-2 and 6-2 in next two sets.

This has Murray 3-0 written all over it, Tsonga played like shi.te and was spraying unforced errors all over the place. Murray has precisely the game that Nishikori is ill-suited to, he will be able to move him around the court, stay in a lot of points on Nishikori's serve and make Nishikori hit winners.

This guy is garbage. How did he make it this far?

He has to jump to serve the ball. Give this midget a booster seat to serve from.

Really? I don't see it. He's short, slow and inaccurate. I will say he's played well this Open until this match.

Nishikori had a 5-setter coming into this whilst Andy Murray had a 49-minute match. You must have been drunk to have bet anything other than 3-0 Murray! And as important, Nishikori was aided by a poor-performing Tsonga to qualify (Yes, I watched the match after the 49ers-Giants game)
