Both players have had massive off-court issues. Gajdosova recently broke up with her husband. Razzano lost her fiance to a brain tumour. Very sad and emotional but I think Gajdosova will have enough to roll in straight sets. Though I'd advise waiting to see who serves first.

Federer -7 vs Wawrinka WON

Federer just seems to match up well with his countrymen in Wawrinka, dominating the head-to-head 9-1 including a fairly comfortable 6-3 7-6(5) 6-2 win in last's year Roland Garros. Federer has not been as dominant as he was in the last few years but is still a threat and gets the job done, it's just the top players that he has problems with i.e. Djokovic and Nadal. What points me further towards Federer's favour is that Wawrinka is backing up from a 4+ hour tough 5 setter match with Tsonga. Against a guy of Federer's class, you really need to be at 100% to even challenge the Fedexpress. And I think fatigue will eventually creep into Wawrinka's game. Federer may have a bit of a battle on his hands early on against Wawrinka but ultimately I see the former number 1 prevailing comfortably in straight sets and covering the -7 which in my opinion (of the handicap) is spot on with what I was expecting.

Nadal vs Ljubicic U 30.5 WON

Can see Nadal winning in three sets. But I don't see any of these sets going to 7-6/7-5. Nadal leads the head-to-head 6-2 including 3-0 on clay. Hats off to Ljubicic for playing a blinder of a tournament but I just can't see anything that Ljubicic has that will threaten Nadal's serve. And his power game is also less suited to the clay court and Nadal's far surpasses that of Ljubicic's. Possible scoreline: 6-4 6-4 6-2

I was considering playing the under 34.5 for fed monfils game but i've got a fishy feeling that monfils could steal a set from federer who is yet to be tested in this tournament. I was confident with Wawrinka Federer under because of the match-up but with this one, I'm not too sure. Federer owns the head-to-head in this one 5-1 including 3-0 on clay but the past 3 matches have involved 7-6/7-5 sets which scares me.

Women's Final 2011

Schiavone 2-0 sets vs Li LOSS (got it all wrong, really sorry to all those who followed. odds were even but then my book priced Li as a favorite hours before match start time. now i know why =[)

What an unpredictable tournament, we have two players that no one expected playing each other in the finals. Both players have met 4 times with Schiavone winning their most recent meeting which coincidentally at the French Open last year in 2 comfortable sets. But the most important trend in this match up is that the player who has won the first set has managed to win the second set and take the match, so whoever wins the first set you can be quietly confident that they take the match. This finals match-up reminds me greatly of last's years also between Schiavone and Stosur. Everyone was backing Stosur and she ended up cracking under pressure and lost in straight sets. I see a similar thing happening here for Li.

umm i'm not finding any value with the matches today so probably not. But i will post if I do find a play(s) that I like.

I think the best thing to do right now is to see how all the players adapt to the quick transition from clay to grass and start betting on players after getting at least 1 match under their belt.

Kinda ruined my stats with my last 3 plays being losses but overall a decent record from betting the French Open 2011, something which I am a little pleased about especially when you're still up units rather than being down. Hopefully I can better that come Wimbledon!

Find it funny how Nalbandian is favoured at a lower price than Verdasco to win the tournament, yet Verdasco is the favourite to beat Nalbandian? Decided to go with my gut feeling here with Nalbandian.

Think she'll have too much for Paszek tonight but with her heavy ground strokes, especially from the forehand.

Not very confident with these plays but I saw some value in them so decided to take them. If you're playing these so you can get back into the positives (unit-wise), then please don't play them! Wait till quarter-final/semi-final time for these small tournaments or even better wait for wimbledon!
