    Uga's Tennis Bets
Hi all, been getting into the tennis these days and have just discovered this sub-forum ...which without googling i can't even seem to find on sbr

Anyway, to give you an idea of what i've been betting on (and how badly i'm going) i'll post my bets from the last few days.

    Tsonga 2-0
    Kvitova (2-0) / Cibulkova (2-0)
    Hantuchova (2-0)
    Troicki (2-0) / Melzer (2-0)
    Simon (2-0) / Almagro (2-0)
    Simon (2-0) / Wickmayer
    Kirilenko (2-0) / Peng / Ivanovic (2-0)

    Querry 2-0
    Beck 2-0

So i'm 4-5 for a 1 unit loss so far.

As you can see i bet alot of favourites to win in straight sets. My betting strategy is simple...look at both player's rankings and if there is a decent difference, i then look at the favored players record against lower ranked players and if they often win by straight sets i'll either bet them or parlay them depending on what odds are on offer. I don't always have time to fully research my bets so if this isn't always reflected by my play you know why.

    Onto tonight, i'm on -
    (2-0 Sets) Ivan Ljubicic v Benoit Paire @ 1.85
    (Straight) Maria Sharapova v Bethanie Mattek-Sands @ 1.77
(2-0 Sets) Mikhail Youzhny v Thiemo de Bakker @ 2.00

    BOL all.

Sharapova didn't end up playing it looks like but my other 2 plays won so back into the black

Just the one play for tonight although I was leaning Wickmayer but i'm not gonna play it.

    Shuai Peng (+5.5) v Zvonareva @ 1.87

    YTD: 6-5 (+0.85 units)

          For tonight -
Shuai Zhang vs Francesca Schiavone - Over 19 games @ 1.87

Really like this play, 3 out of Zhang's last 4 losses have gone into 3 sets while Schiavone's last 8 matches have gone to 3 sets. Even if it doesn't go to 3, there's a lot of scores that can still cover the 19 games

            Bartoli -4.5 games v Bacsinszky @ 1.68

This has been absolutely smashed but for good reason.

In Bartoli's 7 wins this year she has covered this figure 7 out of 8 games...with 4 sets to love, 5 sets to 1 and 4 sets to 2 which means she is every chance of covering with just one set. On the flipside, Bacsinszky in her losses is 1-4 at this line.

              Verdasco -2.5 v Raonic @ 1.87

Taking the revenge/let down angle here.

              Errani +5 v Stosur @ 1.95

Too many games IMO for an out of form Stosur who is 4-5 W/L in 2011. Errani is 7-4 this year including a recent final.

                Simon to win v Davydenko @ 2.05

Simon leads their h2h 4-1 including the last 3 on hardcourt. Davydenko has lost 5 of his 6 last matches this year while Simon lost his last match to countryman Paire who is ranked outside of the top 100.
