    Excellence - Beijing & Tokyo Open - 08/10/2010 Picks
Game: Radek Stepanek vs Jarkko Nieminen
Pick: Jarkko Nieminen Moneyline, 2,20 on Bet24

Radek Stepanek in the direct confrontation leads to better with three wins in five matches, but four meetings were in clay and the only game on hardcourt Jarkko Nieminen won.

Radek Stepanek is currently in 37th place in the world rankings after losing in the first round at the U.S. Open in four sets to Julien Benneteau he played two matches for the Davis Cup where he won in four sets Viktor Troicki and lost in three sets to Janko Tipsarevic. At this tournament, won the first round in three sets Alejandro Falla in the second round and beat Marco Chiudinelli after having left that meeting in three sets.

Jarkko Nieminen is currently ranked 48 in world rankings after losing in the first round at the U.S. Open in three sets to Daniel Gimeno-Traver he reached the quarter finals in Metz, the final in Bangkok where he lost in three sets Guillermo Garcia Lopez. At this tournament, won the first round Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2 sets in the second round and beat Daniel Gimeno-Traver in two sets.

For me Radek Stepanek is far from his best form while Jarkko Nieminen has played this tournament with high quality and excellent results which shows that he is in good shape and I think this concrete floor that enjoys the game more than Jarkko Nieminen Radek Stepanek of and therefore I think Jarkko Nieminen will soon encounter the night and beat the odds are pretty good.

Game: Ivan Ljubicic vs Andy Murray
Pick: Ivan Ljubicic +1,5 sets, 2,52 on 188bet

Andy Murray and Ivan Ljubicic will face is the sixth time in their careers, in a game counting for the Quarter-Final this Open Chinese. Andy Murray leads the head-to-front by 3-2 and won their last two encounters between them in just two sets.

Ljubicic went through a great line this spring, winning streak that earned him the title at Indian Wells. Currently occupying the 17th rank in the hierarchy the World Tennis and with a record of 19 wins and 14 losses, the Croatian seems to be returning to good form, having already eliminated this week two players who are always very complicated, I speak of Mikhail Youzhny that comes from a great U.S. Open and still Aleksandr Dolgopov.

Apart from winning the Toronto Masters, Andy Murray has been miserable this summer. Lost in third round of U.S. Open, Stanislas Wawrinka, and after this debacle took time to reflect, this tournament marks his return to the courts, after about one month without playing officially. Occupying the status of 2nd-to-Head Series went into action against Paul-Henri Mathieu who comes from a very good U.S. Open, yet just beat him pro. In the next round eliminated the always tricky Albert Montanes in 2 sets. It is currently number four in the world and owned a record of 36 wins and 13 losses this season.

Conclusion: The favorite of today is clearly Andy Murray, but if you want to win today will have to greatly enhance the chapter of the Service (only managed to get the 1st service in 52% of the time it had available), as Ljubicic is a player who becomes very difficult to break. I see a very balanced game and I also see Ljubicic with a slight chance of winning the same meeting, if he wins in the percentage of field services. With all this I think the winner of the meeting is a real mystery, however I believe Ljubicic can make a small surprise, so I think it can win at least one set.

Game: David Ferrer vs Robin Soderling
Pick: David Ferrer +1,5 sets, 1,54 on 188bet

Today will be in court face to face Robin Soderling and David Ferrer. You could say that they are almost family, as it will be the 10th time they will face in their careers, in a game that will count for the Quarter Final of the China Open. Soderling leads the head-to-face with some comfortable seven wins and just two defeats, by means include two games on Hard Court, with the Swede won on both occasions. This year clashed on two occasions, and Soderling won both matches, the first at Wimbledon (6-2, 5-7, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5) and more recently in Bastad (4-6, 6 - 3, 6-2)

Ferrer has seen us with an extraordinary way, and now should show up again at the highest level. This season has an impressive record of 50 wins and 18 losses. Head-to eighth-Series here in Beijing, the 11th place in the hierarchy of tennis began this week by defeating Denis Istomin 6-4 6-1 in yesterday already hit by Yen-Hsun Lu 6-3 March -6 6-1. Two games were well done, being very consistent, but let's see, the points assigned to their opponents, only 25 were errors by the Spanish. Yet his greatest weapon is and how to know the background of the court, this tournament has already achieved a total of 94 winners from the baseline, ie a total of 148 points.

Soderling is conducting another year quite accomplished (Vice at Roland Garros, and Quarter-finalist at Wimbledon and U.S. Open). Yet this last tournament Harcourt has not been the best they have achieved, it includes the early defeat last week in Kuala Lumpur against Golubev. Fifth Place World Ranking, Soderling currently has a record of 45 wins and 16 losses this season. Here in Beijing won two opponents always very complicated, I speak of Tommy Robredo and Nicolas Almagro, in both cases needed a third set to defeat them.

Conclusion: This will undoubtedly be the game of the day, and exchanges with long ball from the endline. Yet I believe tomorrow we will have a Soderling at its best and serve in a position (the two previous rounds won 73% of first serve points), which is in my opinion the main weapon that will tell the success or failure of the Swedish. I believe in a disputed game and that will only end in three sets, so I see value on the pick for ferrer +1,5 sets.

Obviously new to tennis. I use 5dimes and I don't see anything that closely resembles "+1, 5 sets"

What exactly does it mean and is it something 5dimes doesn't offer.

For example all I see other than the ML on the Ivan match is games won +4.5

                    Can someone explain???

                      Badby,

These matches at these tournaments are best of 3. Meaning first player to win 2 sets. Excellence has played David Ferrer and Ljubacic to win at least 1 set. Meaning they can either win the match, or win 1 out of 3 sets, and the bet wins.

Books like 5 dimes don't have this option I don't believe during stages in the tournament.

What you are referring to (games won) is as such: If Ivan Ljubacic loses the match 6-4, 6-4, the +4.5 games will cover and you win the bet because he only lost by 4 games and you took +4.5. If he loses the match 6-4. 6-3, you lose the bet.
