i think one of the main reasons was because zverev was just in the final and had to travel and change timezones quickly. but now that he still hasn't played his first round match since week 3 he looks a lot better as a dog. Becker though is really due a couple of wins, the guy has a great serve he should be able to play better in other places than just grass courts

Thx for the insight JNic. I really hate the 'due' factor in sports though (especially in horse racing!). I know what you mean though.

I might do a small parlay with Becker and someone else but nothing crazy. Just for an update 5D still has Becker -155 (Zverev +135)

I like Becker here.

Plays fast, big serve.

Tennis betting can be the absolute worst.

Have to agree here, I personally hate Zverev's game and never like backing him, but the line shows what we have all seen the past couple of weeks, Zverev is in great form and Becker can't win a match to save his life. Even with the current forms of both, I still don't think I can back Zverev at only +130.

yeah theyve only even played twice, other time zverev won in 07 so its kinda irrelevant....but it WAS indoors

Becker has never lived up to his potential. His game should produce much better results on hard courts, but his lifetime mark is pretty average. Zverev is an inconsistent mook. There's no reason to have bet on a side in this one IMO.

I'm on Zverev +135 He's been in good form, and with Becker it's hit or miss, it all has to do with his serve. He's been struggling with his first serve percentage lately, and if it abandons him this time Zverev is good enough to capitalize.

solid post, gun to my head I play Becker here just because I rarely ever back Zverev just for the sole reason you pointed out, he is just too darn inconsistent...however around a (150) favorite, don't see how you can back Becker in this spot either given Zverev's current form...best play - pass

yeah well like i said, probably not worth hitting zverev now since becker was -200 earlier. I guess if you're looking to play on value you take becker (was -155 but drifted back up to -165 last i looked). I don't know, that line is shifting way too much for my liking.

agree with you iceminers. passing is the best choice. i'm glad i got a lot of responses from starting this thread so thank you all. I will be rooting for zverev just b/c i originally intended to hit becker. GL to anybody who bet on the match

I actually think Zverev has a real chance in this if only i could get slightly better odds i would bet it.

probably going to be good game , two got hitters , i remember the last time they played on Hale , becker won there 7-6 6-0 , but zverev had an injury on that game .. anyway i think becker is going to win this one his serve really helps him to get easy points , zverev need to work harder ....
anyway im with becker on this one.

The only play here is becker. If your choosing an under/over lean to the under but why bother when you know becker will win.
