michalis, that doesn't really explain it, because Roddick #1 is a very distant memory.

It's been Nadal or Federer for years.

I think it's about 6 and a half years since Roddick held the top spot in the rankings.

I agree. There's something else going on. Ever since Miami when he beat Berdych in the final, he's lost to Gabashvili (on clay mind you), Sela and now Lu both on grass. Again, I'm not taking anything away from Lu because that would make me look just a tad hypocritical but Roddick sat back behind the baseline for a good chunk of this match and wasn't moving properly at all. He was just waiting for Lu to make errors and halfheartedly trying to force a few but when he realised that wasn't working, he looked stunned and just sat there half the time. He's claimed so far that he's great physically so something else is going on. He was defending finals points and he went out now?!

I only took Lu with the points. Chickened out from taking the ML even though I friggin ALWAYS do when I take a dog with the handicap. So disappointed in myself for being a wuss.

Here against Zeballos he won 93% of his 1st serve points, had another amazing service game against an albeit injured Prszysiezny and then had 3x as many winners as Mayer but less UEs while serving lights out again. I was sick of not making money on this guy after Prszysiezny so I've been keeping an eye out on him since.

But truth be told, I still took the points and the over and not the ML although I've been saying something's wrong with Roddick mentally the whole tournament. So I'm not that sharp.

Roddick mentally is thinking about his hot wife Decker. I honestly dont know how anyone can concentrate on tennis if you're married to a hot model.

hahah he claims Brooklyn has helped him win. I mean he was only broken once all match, he competed to his fullest, not that bad a loss

I had Roddick to win the event here and I am not disappointed at all. He gave it his best shot but Lu just didn't miss. Lu will never in his life play a 5 set match in which he is broken just 1 time. Won't ever happen again. Just tip your cap, get em next time. Tough loss Andy

Well, that loss just dropped him from 5th to 8th in the rankings. Hopefully he can get his act together because the players right around him in points include Berdych and Tsonga who are still in it here, as well as Cilic, Youzhny, Ferrer and Verdasco. If he loses a couple of more matches he will be out of the top 10 and will probably stay there until he retires.

Bracket is in good form on both men and women draw I believe. Good to have the Mr YuIL guy move on for big underdog status, although the next match after this grind will present him more difficulty than the top players the further he goes. Serena should be wagered on future to win the W side. Just do it, maybe the price is to high, though. Federer looks like the men's pick, IMO. He has shown us disappoint in play recently though. Venis, Wozniaskiu, CLISTJERs and Jankovic nice.

                            Should be good.
