    Roddick Watch: Monday, June 28th
Dude just crapped away the tie break and is now down 2 sets to 1.

Don't have any money invested here, but I want Roddick to advance so he can beat the pulp out of Djoko-bitch.

yeah, I was about to start a thread.

I think Djokovic beats the winner of this match.

EZ hold of serve, 1-0 Roddick. He needs an early break so he can conserve a little bit of energy.

Mr. Y-H. Lu giving Mr. Roddick some trouble today.

I've never been much of a Mr. Roddick fan for some reason. I am unsure why to be honest, because I like to root for Americans of course most often.

I have a feeling that Mr. Nadal is going to get beat today, FWIW.

Those having wagered on Mr. Nadal may be feeling a lighter wallet soon.

If Nadal gets beat by Mathieu, then Wimbledon should end today because the Apocalypse would be upon us. Roddick will have to do this in a tie break it appears.

Eagles, not the apocalypse. Nadal is clearly going down, it's just a matter of time.

I favor him to beat Mathieu, but if he does, there's a good chance he loses to Soderling/Ferrer.

I bet on Mathieu and Ferrer today, and I'll be taking the other side if Nadal advances.

Not any more. He's been a one-man wrecking machine at this tournament. I'm just glad I finally smartened up and stopped underestimating him the past couple of matches.

Nadal might lose to Soderling, not Ferrer. And definitely not Mathieu. Surprised to see Ferrer fighting Soderling so well today.

Ruh-ro. Down a mini break already. Roddick could be crashing out. This would be the biggest upset so far.

I will be LIVID if Lu wins this. I was so close to putting $50 on the ML as I normally do when I take a dog with the points and I told myself it wasn't worth wasting the money.

Nope, Nadal can lose to anyone at this point. You see his last two matches?

                                        Soderling barely survived Ferrer.

Anyway, Roddick up 5-4 in tiebreak.

we could be headed for one of those long fifth sets the way this has been going.

Players refusing to break. Depends if Lu has the mental strength to rebound from losing the tiebreaker.

I figure he'll be ok. He doesn't really have anything to lose since all the pressure is on Roddick. If anything, Roddick's been the shaky one mentally throughout the match especially with those double faults in the tiebreaks but hopefully he can get it together.

We're going to the 5th set where I think Mr. Roddick will take the match.

How about Mr. Soderling as well today? He had a tough one, but moved on.

I am glad to see Mr. Federer seemingly playing better and better.

                                                      Good luck, everyone.

Well Lu fought off 2 BPs to win the game. Roddick's starting to look tired - parking his arse too far behind the baseline and not moving as well as he was.

This Lu Kid has got some game. I think if he can somehow put Roddicks serve in play then he has a chance winning.

but shari, if you look at his whole career, and to be fair, look at all his recent matches as well, he straight up sucks! he lost to some good and medium players without a fight this year, but he also lost to some tennis players that werent even professionals

then he had two good matches in wimbledon but I will disagree with you if you dont mind that he is a wrecking machine, he beat Przysiezny which he should as he is supposed to be a much better player than him, I'll give you mayer though which is supposed to be better than lu, not by much but he has more quality, but mayer came in with no grass court preparation and if his withdrawal was legit then he was also injured

I will give you props for backing lu at +7.5

Similar to the Isner/Mahut match, you have a big-serving ranked American against a lightly-regarded foreigner.

I guess to me from watching his matches lately I've just been pleasantly surprised by his performance since Queens Club. He lost to Mahut but pushed one set to a TB. Beat Beck and then lost to Dolgopolov in 3 at Eastbourne. Here against Zeballos he won 93% of his 1st serve points, had another amazing service game against an albeit injured Prszysiezny and then had 3x as many winners as Mayer but less UEs while serving lights out again. I was sick of not making money on this guy after Prszysiezny so I've been keeping an eye out on him since.

But truth be told, I still took the points and the over and not the ML although I've been saying something's wrong with Roddick mentally the whole tournament. So I'm not that sharp.
