My update so far:

3 little parlays went up in flames. Now awaiting Safina (who I'm somewhat surprised to see had a 40 cent price drop) and Lacko.

It's probably because she played well against Dementieva last week and almost had the win. Plus Bondarenko is just coming off her honeymoon so people are most likely fading that as well.

Yeah, I didn't expect a drop like that. All of my bets are small in the first and second round each week so I'm willing to just play it out too but if I had decent money on it, I'd probably have cashed it in by now for the profit. Hopefully she comes through for us.

Bondarenko is still favourites in some of the books.. I guess the public is pounding safina too but I'm not convinced she will win today but good luck anyway.

I thought from mental strengh, Errani is better than Govortsova? I remembered she had a number of bad losing streak. From skills on hard court, she is better than Errani and I took her based on skill level

I've had quite a lot of bad beats today: Rezai, Schuettler, and Govortsova! I may take a break on Tuesday. I just can't pick players who can win 2 sets out of 3. Terrible!

Yeah, the past few days in general have been quite harsh. That's why I just stuck a bunch of players in tiny parlays - after those three choking losers the other day, I don't have much faith in either my plays or the people on the court. Especially when my friggin leans are winning, but I'm stuck sweating out my actual bets. Yuck.

Shocking development, the Russian vs. Russian DC match is going to a 3rd set. Over was a money bet in that one. I said this morning, loser of the 1st set would get pounded in live betting and win in 3 via Mafia rulez. That means Turdsunov should prevail and I bet the 3rd may not be close at all.

YES EP, that was good call with the Over. Typically OVER between two countrymen is a good idea for players of the same caliber, but

matches only go UNDER. Hopefully Tursunov ends this quickly in the 3rd set for me.

Their only 2 previous matches- one definitely fixed, the other most likely fixed - went over. Which I'm glad I looked into again after reading EP's earlier post since that recovered my money lost on Lacko. Yet another 3rd set loss. I think overs are the way to go for me when I like a dog. And continuing to bet MLB to make up for my tennis losses today.

Maybe Safina can hold on?

Yes!! I was going to PM you but didn't want to jinx but I ended up taking Tursunov as well. Total desperation recovery bet but after reading what I wrote myself in here I figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks to that, the over and Safina, and my Aussie buddy's A's RL play, the Nats one Wilforth sent me, and tailing Paco on the Padres, I actually ended up doing okay on the day. Thank goodness!!!

Haha Good for you Shari. Tursunov the OVER 22.5 in the Lacko/De Bakker match made it only about a .5x loss for the day which i will live with.

Looking at Baghdatis and Dabul for tomorrow.

I honestly don't know why she opened up as a dog here. I can't find anything to support that line at all but it's already starting to fall a bit so maybe the market will correct it by the time the match starts.

A tiny, tiny bet for fun:

She's at home and Malek's form hasn't been too hot, winning 2 of her last 10 matches with one of those wins coming against a player ranked 880th in the world and the other against Rodionova who everyone knows is never going to win the title of Most Sane player on the WTA. And even that match went to 3 sets. It's worth a try for me with a small bet.

Really like malisse and couldnt believe the odds on Lu when i first saw them, but then read he might still be carrying a foot injury, although he said that it would not slow him down

Yeah, I saw where Lu said that but then in that same article he said "I may need a few matches to adapt and get back to my previous level," so I don't really know how much emphasis to put on the tendinitis. Without any possible injury I'd like Lu but I may just skip picking a side and have a look at the over instead.

As for Malisse and Benneteau, that's another tough one for me. I'd probably lean Malisse because I've at least seen his form lately but again, I may skip it and go with the over in this one as well.

Paco - put a little on Glatch if you're going to take anyone. I really think this will be my best pick of the day. And the fact that her price has now risen at my book after initially dropping is just remarkable to me. I think I may even put a bit more on her now. Fingers crossed she comes through and doesn't shit the bed.
