I hope he last long enough in the RG to meet with nadal, then pound nadal to obliterate him, he wont get there though

fed is unable to counter montanes serve, if this goes to a tiebreak fed will loose, his best chance was those 2 break points in the 4th game and he choked

not random tournaments

but tournaments like this one which are essentially preparation for grand slams are very indicative of player form, fed took a long vacation after AO and it shows, personally I thought he would have atleast tried to get into form so close to a GS

players have to turn their game on gradually, if he thinks he will go into the RG and just turn it on he is in for a disaster, especially since he's played so little and so bad on clay
