hindsight is 20/20 and the correct play was Sharapova. Sharapova has been serving lights out and if she hits her first serve she would easily win the match. Everything pointed to Sharapova and if you were able to predict a total meltdown then you would be capping your own games instead of tailing.

I knew it was over after Sharapova's first service game. She just didn't have it. Nothing worse than watching a match you know you will lose and nothing you can do about it

Her net game is not good, she might lose 75% of long rallies against Wozniacki? I'm not hating, nor sour I lost 5u. I love following you!! I just think she is fade material here on out. I have always liked her game, but not her. She only acts like she has heart, but she doesn't. She is no longer young enough/good enough to win on skill alone, like she was able to do in the past.

Just my thoughts, thanks again very much, keepem comin....we'll keep get em next time.

Wasn't a meltdown for Sharapova. Her winners-errors was fine, Woz's defense just hurt her. Very similar to Gasquet's match with monfils. Monfils/Woz just too quick and hitting one extra shot to force the error.

Sorry, but you're incorrect. Have you looked at Maria's serving stats this week and then for this match? The only match where she had a higher % of first serves in was against Capra. A QUALIFIER. In that match she hit 67%.

This match she hit 57% of her first serves. Against Groth - 55%. Against Benesova - 52%. She had 2 DF's against Groth, 4 against Benesova, 5 against Capra and 9 here. So let's even give her 7 more points against Woz - her best match for DF's against her worst. She still would have lost. I'm not sure how you could say she had a service meltdown in this match when she actually hit a higher % of her 1st serves in this one than in any other one this week other than one match against a qualie. If that's what led you to believe that she's some superior serving demon, combined with the fact that her double faults were increasing with each match, than you were sadly mistaken.

She faced a better player that could handle her serves and made her actually play points instead of just trying to overpower her opponents. End of story.

what a shit day yesterday i lost big on sharapova AND gasquet. i need some solid picks today. i too am leaning on youzhny and maybe small play on wawrinka. but i am hesitating after such a bad pick on sharapova yesterday. she is such a damn basket case you never know which sharapova is going to show up to play.
