damn shame that Kirilenko didn't get a chance to finish the set before the retirement had the money line.. o well, unfortunate, she had tons of momentum

Safina knows the deal. maybe she wanted to save her backers.

i think some people really do think about that when they retire- supporting their fans like they support them

I doubt they see bettors as fans, although i'm kind of a fan of Safina.

the people who believe in them enough to think they will win and think they have skills and abilities enough that they'd stake their own money on that fact- those are fans in an untraditional usage of the word.

not really... i bet on teams and players and fighters I don't necessarily like. can't always let favor affect your decision too much. i try to stay objective, lost money betting on the home team plenty of times.

thats of course not what i mean pal...
haviing the confidence and believing in them- thats why its in a non-traditional sense of the word- im a redskins fan- thats not what im talkin about.
im talkin about thinking the colts are the best and betting on them.
having confidence and believing in someone/ some team...get it?

I can see where they might appreciate support or the faith in them, but to say they really give a shit about bettors and consider them fans is completely different.

sometimes they are one in the same even tho they are not synonymous. there are some players and teams that i like more because they have won me money for example.

Did yesterday's Russian vs. Russian matches do anything to squash the rule about not betting on these sort of matches? Nope. You had Petrova win when she had never beaten Kuznetsova. Safina retires before the end of the first so no one wins anything on the match. Fish fishy.
