I figured instead of everyone having to look up the H2Hs I would just post this shit in the tennis forum to save everyone else the time and effort of doing it. I had to do it anyways so figured I would throw it up early so everyone can get a look at the matchup history.

#37some good info here - thanks for the updates. I'm looking forward to this tournament....too bad it isn't 3 sets to win in any of the matches...I guess they are saving them for the Australian in January.
My Fav's for this tournament - Djokovic and Federer...i think it will be one of them that win. I don't like Murray at all...he is probably my least favorite player of the 8. I do see Verdasco as the weakest as well. That would be nice if Tsonga could squeek in here...I think my dark horse for the 8 is davydenko...he's the lowest seeded player that I see potentially winning this thing.Comment -

#38Nice info ice. Saves the rest of the us the trouble of looking up the data. Doesn't seem like there's much value in the futures - will have to wait and see on the individual matchups.Comment -

I agree, wish it was 5 setters as well, but we will get those soon enough at the Aussie Open.
I agree with Joker and Feds, but if Murray is 100 percent, I think he has a descent shot. I will have to find out his health and see how he plays in his opening match before coming to any conclusion on him.
I would like to see Tsonga squeak in there as well, feel he has to be upset with his performance in France and would give him a chance to redeem himself.
We are going to have a great tourney and end the season on a high note.Comment -

#43First 2 lines are up for this coming Sunday
Murray -250
JMDP +210
Will not be playing this match on either money line, may make a play on the total or HC after lines come out.
Feds -500
Verdasco +400
Again, no play on the money lines but I will probably be playing Feds HC.Comment -

#44More importantly, 5 wins for Soderling from last 6, and the loss was almost a straight sets win (won opening set, lost 2nd set tiebreak), and on an ultra-slow court.
Anyway, problem for me with WTF is half the field is badly beat up:
Nadal - woeful lately. Seemingly going backwards since his comeback for the US Open.
DelPotro - retired last week, perhaps having a post slam letdown (like Safin and Djokovic did when they won theirs at an early age).
Soderling - not looked so mentally solid since the US Open, and elbow issues
Verdasco - 3 or 4 injuries, looked increasingly exhausted as the season has gone on
Davydenko - woeful in Valencia
Djoko - looked pretty tired against Soderling (needed a complete Sod meltdown to win), used everything he had vs an awful Nadal, then very close to throwing away the title against Monfils.
Murray - very rusty after the comeback. Despite watching every match, I've still no idea how he won Valencia.
Fed is pretty much the only one with no injury/tiredness questions hanging over him.Last edited by HeeeHAWWWW; 11-20-09, 12:24 PM.Comment -

No way it will be 3.5, will be lucky to get 4 with descent juice, I'm guessing -4 (-125).Comment -

I agree, a big aspect of capping this particular tourney is going to be the injuries, everyone is banged up in some sense. We will have to get to the bottom of all the injuries before Sunday.Comment -

#59So I guess you are hoping for a 6-3,6-4 win for Fed tommorrow. I think he can pull it off and I'm thinking it will be 2 sets...maybe 7-5, 6-4.
I'm going to lay off on a play for the Murray/DelPo to see what type of form Delpo is in....if he is anything like last tourney your bet for under will be more than fine.
I'm thinking a Soderling win over Nadal would not be out of the question for an early upset...I will for sure take the over in that match.Comment -

I really wanted 4 but yeah, I think Feds will dominate at least 1 set and get the cover, something like 6-2, 6-4 would work.
I'm actually likes Sodes too, waiting on the handicap to come out.Comment -
