He made quarters of US Open. He's at home. He's young. He's talented. Been a weird year for everyone because of Covid - could see some of the big names getting picked off before he even has to play them. This number seems high to me. In for $250.

Djokovic is locked in. I don't think anything weird is going to happen. Australia already gave advantages to big guns. It's like saying 2020 has been a weird year, so Walmart and Amazon are going to go under. Not when weird equals helping out the biggest...
Not equating what the govt has done to small businesses/improve the Giants to Australia here -- just that I don't get what weird year has to do with itComment -

A weird year as in they aren’t playing their normal tournaments or practicing the same or living the same lifestyle. These are human beings. These things affect them all in different ways.Comment -

#10Also I don’t need any “the favorite will win” in this thread. Way to go out on a limb. Lol. Obviously this is a stretch that’s why it’s 50-1Comment -

#14Alex De Minaur is like a less talented version of Ferrer. He will never come close to winning a slam. If you look at his record vs top 10 competition, it's probably awful. He just doesn't have the weapons to compete with elite players.Comment -

#15He will probably beat Fognini in the third, but Nadal, Tsitsipas/Berrettini, Medvedev, Djokovic is asking a lot. That's 4 heavyweights he'll have to beat.Comment -

Alex is still only 21. I think if he beefs up a little, in a few years he will have more of a chance to compete for a GS, especially with Djokovic and Nadal likely done.
If Hewitt pulled it off, De Minaur has a shot imo.Comment -

#18No fans for five days. Don’t like his chances as much anymore. Beefie I’ve liked rublev for awhile. I may join you on that one. He seems to find motivation from within and won’t need fans anyway.Comment -
