    Gael Monfils odds 2.30

If you ask why, then I guess you didnt watch their first round matches, and all I can say is, go rewatch their first round matches, and you will know why.

normally i wouldnt trust Monfis vs a consistant returner however, i think Monfis wants this more. He is the better indoor hardcourt player imo. Good luck

It can also be hard to go against Tsitsipas these days, but the balls and surface in Sofia is HUGE advantage for Monfils. And with him being well prepared and in good form, he should get past a rusty Tsitsipas who only won vs Struff today, because Struff is such a hit and miss, and today he was a miss. Way too many unforced errors. Monfils will extend the rallies and get the best of Tsitipas, who can't seem to find any pace or length on the balls.

In spots like these I prefer Tsitsipas. Remember when people wondered why Nadal was the dog against Djokovic? The bookies know.

I agree with your oppinion that conditions in Sofia are slow and allow someone like Monfils to defend on a high level. But What I think has to be mentioned here as well is that Monf is usually playing way too far behind the line and has a tendency to push some soft shots back into the court. Either some loopy cross court forehands through the middle, or backhand slices. Stefanos lately is much more willing to come forward to the net, which would take away that passive defense from Monfils and he will either have to play closer to the line, or go for some riskier shots, which are not easy to make from that far behind.

Sometimes they know, if you dont know. Tsitipas is favourite in this because he is nr 12 and have been on fire lately, and Monfils is nr 33 and questionable. However in this specific match, I know what's up. I saw them both play, and Monfils will win today, because he is in better form considering their previous match in Sofia, and most importantly, the balls and surface in Sofia is heavily favouring Monfils in this match-up.

To the thing about remember people wonder why Nadal was a dog against Djokovic. I don't really remember that many wondering, but I do know, that those who did wonder why Nadal was a underdog in that match-up probably don't know anything about tennis, that match was a great example of how clueless the bookies are sometimes. The majority of people on this site, and my friends, knew that it was a gift for Djokovic.

Well, you seem to know your stuff, I'm staying off this game. Dogs in that odds range just seem like traps a lot of the time. They make you think it's a 50/50 game but the fav just wins 2:0.

Great play! Have to be honest and say that I was bit sceptic about it, but it played out exactly as you said it would. Congrats!

Gael Monfils is still the underdog against Daniil Medvedev.

Today I am betting Medvedev to win odds 1.70

Monfils faced a rusty Tsitsipas who were caught off-guard a place where he needed more time to adapt his game. And Monfils also had a target to shot at yesterday - Tsitsipas backhand.

Today he faces inform Medvedev who loves the balls and surface and have no weakness. I expect Medvedev to take control of the rallies with more flat and penetrating shots than Monfils, and eventually play Monfils out of court with penetrating and precise shots. Medvedev got all it takes to beat Monfils here, and while Monfils where having advantage with the factors yesterday, today it's Medvedev who will have the advantage.

                        Medvedev to win odds 1.70

Been riding Monfila this whole tourney and love seeing him play so well.

That said, today vs Medvedev I decided to just watch in entertainment and root for Gael. I did play the over games as I see a 3 set match with a tiebreaker in there.

Great job vs Tsitsi and BOL
