I'm with you on Machado, although you got truly hosed on that price. I was fairly late getting my wagers in, but I still snagged +125 at 50Pennies. Good call on Rezai, too, I must've passed out before I made it to the WTA, I woke up and all I had were bets on the men. Let's hope my countryman, Machado, is able to take this third set to a tiebreak...

And it just wasn't meant to be. How sad for him to be up 5 breaks to 4, and still lose the third set. Tennis can be brutal.

Yeah I woke up late today and Machado has already gotten bet down. I actually saw -105 later.
Anyhoo, he lost 5-7, 6-1, 5-7.

Yeah, that third set was a clusterfvck. But I feel we were on the player with value. Really I'm most sad that Portugal, who is under-represented on the ATP tour already, wasn't able to advance a native into the second round. Certainly I'll be on Gil over Blake tomorrow, and I'm confident he'll go deep in Estoril, but certainly the price won't be as enjoyable as +125...
I just checked and BetUS has the best price on him for American bettors @ 1.57 (that's -175 for Americans). Anybody who likes betting tennis is well served to have BetUS as an out. They hang their lines early, they're one of a handful of books that offer tennis spreads and totals to American customers, and they pay quickly and consistently. Also, if you're looking for a way to line shop tennis, the best way I've found is the Flashscore website. You can click on any match there, a pop-up appears with an "Odds Comparison" tab, and you can then sort the prices by the player you wish to wager on.
Thanks for keeping tennis on people's minds at SBR, LT.

Is Flash Score powered by BetBrain?

No, actually it's powered by OddsPortal. But they show more lines/books if you access it from FlashScore for some reason.

Just like Lou, you bet on what you're attracted to.

Yeah, I've checked out both LiveScore Hunter and BetBrain, but I find that they miss some of the lines hung by shops that actually let U.S. players bet. That's why I mentioned Flashscore, they seem to list all of the books that I've found will take tennis action from an American. Are you on TennisInsight, LT?

Close Yisman, but not quite. It's true that I just can't get into watching women's tennis for the most part, I try to stay abreast of who's playing well and who's struggling. I definitely gravitate to men's tennis because I just enjoy looking at all those hot guys. However I don't bet on the attractive guys, it's my experience that the cuter the guy the less money I win on him.
My current crushes on the ATP Tour are Stanislas Wawrinka and Christophe Rochus. Stan has been good money, but Chris can barely keep the ball in play. Regardless, I still watch them every chance I get, and in the process get to evaluate their opponent that day. Next time I fade one of them I'll start a thread about it so you can see that it's not my dick that presses the submit button on my tennis wagers, unlike a certain aforementioned Mod.

Rochus had his match against Devilder interrupted by rain today. It'll resume tomorrow in Belgrade.
Flashscore is my favorite set for tennis scores, as well. They update quickly.
For comparing odds from different books, I use this. Unfortunately, it's similar to a site mentioned earlier in that it's UK books, not American.

That's where I post my tennis plays, their "spreadsheet" grades itself and does a great job of showing who's hot (and hence a good tail). Their statistical database is also second to none that I've found. I highly recommend it.
