Serena has let players take sets who don't deserve to take sets from her, she hasn't been on top of her game. I know she is sick, or so they say but she has pulled out win in 3 sets more than normal in a grandslam. Lucie on the other hand has been solid and very very consistent. All I have is positives from her, she has played some dominant tennis as of late and all of her losses have been close. I feel Serena will be suprised and Safarova will come out smacking those forehand winners and I see her winning french, I also see 1 tiebreak in this match so the over will be pretty much guaranteed.

Cuz, 1.Saf is 0-10 vs Serena, 2. The ladies on the WTA seem to consistently wilt in 3rd sets vs Serena...it's utterly ridiculous, and I love me some Serena.

I don't think taking Safarova ML is a smart play at all. I think with this being her first major final, facing the possible GOAT, she COULD get a set...but I just can't really see her winning

I can see a tiebreaker and if serena happens to win in straights that would screw up the +1.5. The over is 22. Serena has sputtered this whole tourney while Lucie had dominated. 7-6 6-4 is winner or 7-6 6-3 is push.. lots of woman win their first title at french. I've seen Lucie play in person, she destroys the ball and can match serena power.

Also last 3 match ups against serena resulted over 22. Every match Lucie lost this year had a tiebreaker in it or it went 3 sets. We shall see soon enough. I can't wait to watch it.

I understand what you're saying, tennis...but by that same token...when Serena is playing from ahead, the women have wilted when the pressure got the toughest. Maybe Safarova is more mentally tough than the others Serena has beat most recently, and I think the over is PROBABLY a better bet of the 2(other being the +1.5 sets)
