I wish I could see how bad Cornet's service games are...It's 2-2 in the second set and she hasn't held once.

Petkovic/Suarez-Navarro

Andrea has really worked on her service game in the off-season, and the results are blatantly showing. Her second serve is what has my pecker pointing out of my pants. The precise contact on smashing the corners of the baseline even confused me when watching her on TV, let alone an opponent facing her. She confused the hell out of Makarova on her second serves, forcing Ekaterina to make unforced errors all over the place. Petkovic's determination to focus clearly on her serves in all of the first set, gave her the same confidence to continue the same style of play in the 2nd (which is rare, as these WTA players give their all in the 1st, only to be overcome by mental breakdowns in the 2nd, and so on). Makarova is not a pushover, and a lot of tennis lovers clearly know this...but Andrea's 100% focus on the match caused the nervy Russian to totally lose confidence in herself, and her game.

Of course, knowing the Petkovic of last year, she can easily flop this match, and get smacked around 2-0 against an extremely talented CSN, who put away Venus in style a couple of days ago. I just think Petkovic has the better momentum, service game and all around movement/game than CSN. Plus, although CSN is a talented young player, who knows how tired she may be for all of these 3 setters she's had the past few days, versus a Petkovic who hasn't lost a set yet, and has won all her matches convincingly.

The over should be a good bet too, as this may go to 3 sets. But I'm sticking with my more confident pick.
