He's a tall 6'8 Croatian with some skill. He has focused on doubles but recently decided to focus on singles. Back in 2011 he was as high as 147. He plays Veic who is a dirt ballet but he is 5"10. If the big man can serve well today he will put loads of pressure on Veic.

Slow hard court here. Hewitt looked good in Washington on a fairly slow hard court. I'm also siding with Agut as his defence with force Lopez to hit winners. The defensive players usually play well in canada

Washington was fast hard court. The commentators were saying that some players mentioned how fast the court was playing. Also when Hewitt is serving down aces and having players struggle to return his first serve, you know the court is fast.

I know it's after than Toronto, but it really wasn't that fast compared to AUS open for example. I watched hewitt vs Matosevic and those two were rallying all day because they had time to chase down each other's forehands. Of course the players will mention how fast the court is, it was also the first hard court matches in awhile for most of them.... Like moving from grass to hardcourt or clay to hardcourt. I guess washington was to slow, it definately was not that fast.
