up and down day. Left up 1.5 units but got screwed on a bunch of plays. Bouchard tanked, Cuevas tanked, but I guess that's tennis.

the only french man who doesn't fold like a cheap fukkin' tent at the first sign of foul weather is ERV...showed up and played hard, without ever being intimidated by Raonic last week...did a similar thing today against Cilic...last week he lost to Raonic, today he beat Cilic...but he played hard throughout...all you can ask from a player...and it's almost non-existent among french male tennis players (I was going to include Simon as a guy who doesn't melt...but after a brief testosterone rush to tie the match, the congenitally- high levels of tennis-estrogen kicked in again...come on Simon, prove me wrong here!)

Monfils is the worst combination possible...extremely high skill-level/extremely fragile psycho-emotional constitution...

you never know whether you get the elite-ATP version...or the fringe ITF version...

and it toggles on and off during a match so live-betting is as

: as pre-game

"Frenchiosity" at its worst (altho Mannarino is making a run for the crown)
