#371.1.14/Play #7: [ATP BRISBANE] Copil +165
Take a pot shot on the Romanian whose serve has been popping through qualis and his tight three setter with Sugita. Simon will be playing his first match, so there is always some chance to come out flat as a result. If Copil can use his serve for cheap points to keep out of long rallies with Simon, he may have a shot to sneak out a tie break or take advantage of any shakiness from Simon on his own serve. A plus also for Copil to have already dealt with the weather conditions in match play here too.

#381.1.14/Play #8: [ATP BRISBANE] Hewitt -150
Certainly you're overpaying on price because Hewitt is playing "at home" in Australia. Still, the motivation factor rests squarely with the Aussie as he faces The Flodonis. Lopez played reasonably well in his opener, but does not have a great track record of being motivated early in the season before the 1st Grand Slam. Hewitt brought in his bud, big lefty Chris Guccione for some practice hits to prep for Lopez's left serve - so he's certainly taking it seriously. Hewitt is feeling as healthy as he probably has to start a season in several years and usually when his health permits - he's worth a go in these early season Aussie tourneys.

#421.2.14/Play #9: [ATP CHENNAI] Paire -120
Gut call more than anything on the Frog. Garcia-Lopez had a routine straight sets win in his opener, while Paire has been sitting and waiting with the bye. He's been bromancing with Wawrinka again, playing doubles as they lost a tough three setter. He says he has worked hard on his mental toughness this off-season to cut down on the hot headedness/racquet breaking. He played well in this tournament a year ago and has a favorable draw. Garcia-Lopez can be tricky, but on this surface he has rarely put it together against the more talented players on tour. Paire is in that category, but needs to start showing consistency to be taken seriously.

#49It's typical that people will jump all over Mayer's win yesterday against Murray. I just want people to be aware that Florian is a showpony player and a player for the big occasion and a player that plays that standard/level of tennis he did against murray when he has nothing to lose and is inspired at playing a grandslam champion.
A few years ago he did what he did to Murray, against Nadal and brought out his box of tricks, he advanced through and faced Feliciano Lopez the following round and lost easily.
@1.38, you are running the risk of this happening again. Everytime a player beats a player with a grandslam title, they're fade material the next round, unless they, themselves are a top 20 established player.Comment -

#501.2.14/Play #10: [ATP BRISBANE] Cilic -130
The Croat has looked refreshed from last year's suspension and his new team around him has worked hard to improve his serve and mental toughness. Goran Ivanesivic is the main man in his camp now and his work on Cilic's serve has been noticeable already. Goran said the idea of this tournament was to get Cilic prepped and then adequately rested for the Aussie Open, but that he "wouldn't be mad if he won it" this week. His serve has been dominating so far and he'll need more of that against Nishikori who will test him.

#51If u look at the surface speed this favors Cilic huge. At French 1000 event nishikori would probably winComment -

#52Good luck bro. Just tuning in myself. My own personal opinion is this is the biggest coin toss ever and whilst it's quite black and white who the surface favours more, I don't particularly believe Nishikori is that much better on slow hard than faster hard. Some matches are just too tough to call and are better left alone in my view and this is one of them. Nishikori is also defensively a better mover than Dimitrov, so we'll have to see. Gun to head, I'd say Nishikori, but respect the way Cilic's been serving.
Best of luck and keep your useful, researching and inside knowledge, which I have no idea how you get, coming. lolComment -

1.2.14/Play #11: [WTA BRISBANE] Jankovic +175
Vaginal League. Janks loves the heat. Azarenka went Spazarenka for a shade against Voegele. Not a ton of thought, just think the meltdown yesterday could be a precursor.

#56Overall Profit Margin: +4.70
FYI ... I don't keep a won-loss record, just the profits or lack thereof for the picks. All my picks are risking one unit or to win one unit, so I don't skew the profit margin with larger plays. Any futures plays are never added into this either because that's a separate project for me. Continued luck to ya.

#61I don't know about no brainer, if Hewitt is flat - Roger could roll. Cannot see it happening the other way, but it's got a good chance I hope. Federer's serve has worked well with this quick surface. Hewitt's has been a bit better than usual - needs to stay that way.Comment -

#64Shocking start really. Hewitt steamrolling through this opening set now. Be lucky to see Fed get two games and keep a 2nd set TB on the table as a fail safe if Hewitt wins in straights. Wonder if the delayed start fukked Fed's prep up. Would not think an old pro gets rattled, but who knows at this stage of his career.Comment -
