Benneteau is playing in his home country

... I'm taking Nishikori, it's definitely a value bet ... but i'm not confident at all...

Nishi's banged up and if you watched either match he played last week, you probably wouldn't be taking this .. unless you're banking on him having recovered in a week. He's been nursing a back injury for a bit. Even in his win last week, he had difficulty, especially in the 2nd set with his service games. He was fortunate his opponent could not take advantage.

Thank you I didn't watch either match so this makes sense was curious what I was missing

Guys like Nishikori make you realize how worthless the rankings system is. He's in the Top 20, but hasn't done much this year and barely a deep run since the 4th round at Roland Garros. This is why there really is a huge gap from right around the edge of the Top 10 to everyone else.

Everyone else becomes an interchangeable part in the rankings system because one big run (ie Jerzy Jankowicz @ Paris or Wimbledon) and you move up even if the rest of your year is mostly garbage.

But like Eagles said waiting to see how he plays in the 2nd set thats when we will see if any injury is slowing him down

Yes, Julien Benneteau is very flaky......and has been involved in some questionable situations in the past.
That's why I do not wager on matches he is a part of. Quite flaky!

It's early; just one break. Nishi hasn't been pushed in a service game yet so will know more when and if julien can put some pressure on him. Hope julien turns it around
